The aroma is relatively closed but shows agave, a slight sweetness (caramel) and the clay/dirt that has shone through from the blanco. Nice flavor with caramel, spice (cinnamon, mint) and pepper. The finish is short with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Nice big and rich flavor. Enough sweetness without being candied and a nice long finish with spice from agave and aging.

Aromas of butter, caramel and spice. A pleasant sipper and I like the finish!

An anejo that might be a repo. It is earthy with a pleasant taste, but we're not here to drink nectarine juice. The finish is just not there, making this label one where the blanco is more Arty than the anejo.

Slight vanilla sweet smell with little to no agave smell. Pleasant to the nose. Enticing. Taste is sweet with a prominent taste of agave. Buttery with oak flavor and with a peppery mild taste. Lasting taste. Would highly. recommend. Different from first taste. Give it a second chance. You will be impressed and the value is well worth it.

Review #306 - Arta Tequila Anejo

The Arta bottle always intrigued me. The bottle looks great and it's the only tequila that I know of from NOM 1360.
