As others have said, it's a pretty bottle on my bar shelf. The color was quite dark amber compared to many other añejos. Aroma of cooked agave, oak, caramel and barrel spice. Flavor of cooked agave, black pepper, caramel, oak and barrel spice. There was a hint of Additive sweetness. Finish is medium and pleasant. The price I got may bump up the value.
Great looking bottle, we know what they say. Definite additive, sweet. Respectable flavor profile. Again beautiful bottle. Nice gift
Got this at duttyfree last year good looking bottle but the tequila is ok. Nothing to crazy. Will I buy it again nope but would drinking again if offer.
This stuff is certainly unique, I’ve never had anything quite like. Boat loads of botanicals and veggie notes in the distant background, the base is mostly cognacish(I juts made up a word)! This tastes like it’s been watered down or blended with Sotol, it’s really delicate. An oddity worth trying.
Aromas: Unobtrusive woody undercurrents, some smokiness, ripe red fruit, minerals, vanilla and butterscotch. Spicy cardamom, cinnamon and cloves punch up the nose. Coffee note. Flavors: Viscous in the glass and mouth. Round vanilla and light licorice notes. This delivers big barrel notes reminiscent of sweet jerk spices. Finish: Pepper, barrel spices and nutty sweetness.
Bottle has a 2006 stamp on it. Quite spicy and different from the regular Corralejo offerings in the sweetness along with the barrel spice. Cedar wood, nutmeg, some caramel add to the barrel spice, agave and oak. Finish is a little short and with no bitterness.
38% Mexico version
we were only charged $11 for a pour, so it was a great value! sweet with a hint of smoke, super smooth. Butterscotch and caramel.
Nose: Alcohol, barrel notes, vanilla, pepper, butterscotch. Nose: vanilla, butterscotch, cinnamon, butter, barrel spice, chemical flavors Finish: short Overall, not that great, I would pass on this because of the price! Better options would be ArteNom 1146, Ocho Añejo, or El Tesoro Añejo to name a few! Bought in Mexico for $90
Pricey for what you are getting. Knocked it down on points for that. Also, the amount of alcohol heat is too much for something that should be ban easier sipper. Typical flavors and smells, but more of a barrel bitterness.
Cinnamon, sweet, smooth.
Rather strong notes of barrel spice, sorta pleasant to drink. At the end of the day it’s just a pretty bottle/conversation piece with some interesting but solid-ish juice inside of it. Buy as a gift or as decoration, otherwise not recommended.
Destijds 12 euro
The nose is sorta butterscotch, the flavor is sorta missing and on the finish I get a big touch of wood. Makes a great tequila Manhattan (a Mexico City) by combing 2 parts tequila to 1 part sweet vermouth and throwing in a few dashes of chocolate bitters. Don’t forget the payoff (cherry).
This has an interesting and somewhat funky profile. I’m getting tobacco, honey, and barrel spice along with the usual oak/caramel/agave found in XAs. There’s virtually no heat on the palate or finish… so little that it seems unnaturally smooth. It’s easy sipping at the cost of depth and body. I can’t say much about the value as the bartender was kind enough to give me a free pour. Memorable, but not mind-blowing.
not too sweet but honey notes are present. I went average for value as it was a gift brought over from Mexico and unsure of money spent.
Disappointed
Very sewer
Smooth straightforward agave flavor with little to no additional character
Great tequila... Defiantly buying next time back in Mexico.

Gran Corralejo Sample from Matt Charney Agave Swappers Nose is muted barrel spices and vanilla but not offensive, barrel spice, caramel, vanilla, tropical notes and mild oak Palate is also muted, not complex. But not horrible.
