Right off the hop this smells amazing, the rich aromas of cognac have mingled perfectly with the tequila. I catch a brief glimpse of agave before the harshness and bitter qualities of the Limousine oak come storming into the picture, it finishes quite spicy and boozy. It’s an expensive cocktail but I suspect that using this to make an Old Fashioned would be just about the perfect arrangement.

Strong aromas of maple syrup (pancakes?) supported by subtle caramel notes. Very sweet on the nose and pallet. Sharp at first, very clean, smooth, vegetal, and pleasant finish.

This does not taste like tequila. It is like a smooth Armagnac.
