Received as a gift. On the nose the aromas are barely perceptible which is unusual for an XA. I detected very lite oak and alcohol aromas. On the palate the super thick, oily mouthfeel seems too heavy. No traditional barrel spices or oak flavor, no agave, it’s not sweet as I was suspecting, and at 38% there’s very little heat and a limited finish.

Dark amber in the glass with thick, oily legs. Aroma of oak and vanilla. Flavor of caramel, oak and a hint of agave. Medium finish.

Aroma of vanilla and oak. Flavor is very balanced, oak, slight caramel with vanilla and finish of agave. Pretty smooth down the hatch, was very surprised. Pleasant tequila
