AMM Blind Tasting: Aroma: green pepper, hint of vanilla, some olive brine Palate: cooked agave, citrus, black pepper, hints of anise, little mint Finish: more anise with some citrus. Little burn, not overly lengthy Scored really high on value.
NOM 1443 | It’s not exactly an aficionados’ sipper, but it’s not the worst-tasting blanco either. It meets all the criteria of a solid blanco. For a clean, budget-friendly option for mixing cocktails, I think it works.
The aroma on this one has a strong mineralality. A bit of wet cement aroma. It is grassy but agave does come through. Picking up some citrus and other fruit like Apple peel. The taste is easy on the palate. Nice and naturally sweet. Minerals do come through. I get a touch of mint. The apple is also there. The finish is good. Maybe a little thin and a slight alcohol finish but nothing that would distract from the overall experience. This is a good budget tequila that can be a sipper but should make an excellent cocktail.
NOM 1443 | Rated blind with AMM: Nice grassy fruity aroma with some petrichor. Flavors underwhelm with some bell pepper, agave, and bitters. Creamy but short finish.
NOM 1443 | Fresh agave, bright citrus, hint of alcohol and white pepper that leads into the finish. Super affordable. Beginner sipper and cocktail king. ————————————————————————— Rated Blind: 83 N: green vegetal agave, slightly vegetal, some minerals T: medium cooked agave, slight vegetal, thin, shiny
NOM 1443 | Bright nose. I get the Apple that other reviews are talking about. Easy going palate with a little pepper on the finish. Definitely not complex but not bad for a budget bottle. Didn’t love it as a mixer Edit 2025: Costco has 1.75L for $35 and I’ve come around to it mixed so bumping a few points. It’s still not complex but it’s an easy going sipper.
NOM 1443 | The aroma presents a strong petrichor-like minerality, grassiness, vanilla, cooked agave, brine, and a subtle hint of alcohol, creating an inviting and complex bouquet. On the palate, the flavor is rich and enjoyable, featuring sweet cooked agave with a prune note, crisp minerality, lemon citrus, vanilla, yellow raisin, a hint of bell pepper and freshness. The finish is pleasantly enduring, with the petrichor minerality fading gently, complemented by a subtle alcohol tone that contrast the sweetness, along with lingering grassiness and the raisin undertone of cooked agave. A worthy libation indeed.
NOM 1443 | First tasting 2023, score 77. Second tasting AMM blind (10/25): On the nose I get cooked agave, minerals, brine, vegetal and grass. Taste is agave-forward with minerals and citrus. Aftertaste is mostly pleasant, agave and citrus lingers, but there is a slight bitterness. Score 88.
Aroma is a little funky. Taste is good but no real fun happening. Finish is pleasant and uneventful. This is ok to good tequila. I like that it’s organic and all that. This could make great drinks.
Aromas and flavors of agave, citrus, and green apple. The spicy finish makes me think it's higher than 40% abv, but it's mostly well done. Good budget sipper. Edit: Had to come back and give an extra point to the aroma. The green apple note has grown on me since I've opened this bottle.
Apples, spices, pepper, fresh agave. Alcohol numbing.
This Blanco is 80 proof but it tastes like a higher proof tequila. The nose is full of clean fresh agave, white pepper and alcohol. I taste the vegetal agave first and then a mix of bright citrus and pepper. The finish is nice; it lingers. There isn’t anything harsh about this but it lacks depth. I attribute that to using a autoclaves. I’d recommend using this blanco for making a nice classic margarita. ¡Salud!
Green apple nose, spicy flavor and finish. Nice mouthfeel but the spicy finish is too much for me, personally.
Had to give this a ten in the value catagory because it was 16$ at Costco. Overall a nice tequila . Sippable for sure .
Nice downgrade to the 100 proof version that until recently was the only blanco in the line. Loads of agave right off the bat on the nose and on first taste. Resolves to caramelized agave and some anise along with alcohol numbing.
NOM 1443 | Los aromas no son malos agave, vegetal, grama y un poco de fruta En los sabores no tiene mucho carácter se siente el agave pero es amargo en el paladar y el final
At $28 USD (VABC), Dulce Vida blanco fills a niche space for reasonably priced additive free tequilasnthat is widely available. Bright agave, black pepper, and light floral notes are inviting. A light sweet cream and alcohol presence is a minor distraction. On the palate, much of the same. I don't like this as a sipper and when I mixed this, it was not favorably received. It may be your flavor profile, but it is not a personal preference.
NOM 1443 | Alcohol Pepper
NOM 1443 | Mild nose. Creamy mouthfeel. A bit one dimensional on the palate. Finish is dry and relatively short. Not awful.
Decent budget tequila. Would make a good mixer.
NOM 1443 | Nom 1443: Updated tasting on a new bottle. Nose is agave forward, a little vegetal and earthy. Taste is agave, black pepper, a little vegetal and ethanol. Would definitely keep this stocked as a mixer. Previous: cooked agave, citrus, definitely a green apple aroma and flavor as others have mentioned. Some slight pepper and slight notes as well. Not bad especially as a mixer.
NOM 1443 | Strong citrus aroma with some agave. Slightly sweet taste with lots of citrus and agave. Not complex. Smooth finish for high proof.
Very sweet. Not a whole lot of flavor. Not bad. Agave, alcohol, and citrus
NOM 1443 | Nose is strong with a sweet agave, some slight notes of cocoa, some grass, fresh. Mouth feel has heat , cinnamon, white pepper, agave, heat on tongue and throat. Little black licorice, lemon rind After taste Lingers around longer then expected. Overall thoughts: Good budget additive free tequila, can sip or shoot. Will try as a mixer to see how different fruits go with it Cheers
