Tequilas aged in wine casks have become trendy recently, as producers play with different barrel influences. But “Rosa” tequilas, like “cristalino”, aren’t an official category.
Blind tasting results: 10 great "Rosa" tequilas.
Monterey Tequila and Mezcal Festival: I haven’t had many Rosa Tequilas but this was impressively tasty. Pretty bottle for sure but the liquid stands and delivers. I can’t recall specifically intricate notes but I knew that at the moment of tasting I’d buy a bottle for sure. Rosa expressions typically don’t appeal to me but this one I will double back on and grab a bottle.
