Funky, earthy, and parsley aromas come across the nose. More funk and some mineral tastes join in during the first sip. Feels like if Don Fulano and Fortaleza had a baby. You’d be very hard pressed to find a better value than this anywhere.
The aroma and taste are very similar - cooked agave and pepper are front and center followed by earthy mineral and some citrus fruit. It has a nice finish that hangs on for a few extra seconds. This is an all around great tequila for sipping and/or mixing. This drinks as a much higher value but at its very friendly price it is worth stocking a few bottles in your barz
Earthy, agave and cinnamon aroma. Tastes of cinnamon, black pepper and anise.
This is what I like in a blanco. Tons of agave with some pepper and cinnamon on the nose. The taste is agave, cinnamon, minerals and some citrus that has an oily mouthfeel. Its quite earthy. Absolute bargin priced tequila.
Conditions: room temp, Glencairn sitting for over an hour: Medium aroma of raw and cooked agave, dandelion leaves, wet cement and lime zest, with a buttery salinity with agitation akin to a Castelvettano olive brine. White pepper the more ya dig into the glass! Taste: initial is lovely sweet cinnamon and pepper with that butter coating the mid palate as it finishes off with a limey and somewhat oily coat. Contemplating the after finish I can almost taste fennel or anise. This expression is my jam: the sweet balanced with all sorts of savory goodness. At this price point I would “case” it in a heartbeat!! Value beater all the live long day!!!!! Robbo, Booze Bully
On the nose, the cooked agave was very forward, with slight citrus aroma and black pepper. I also noted what felt like a brine smell. One aroma I found odd was I could smell Cherry, like the ones in old fashions On the Tongue the cooked agave was very pronounced the citrus flavor was greater on the sides of the tongue the pepper was dominant on the front of the tongue but not over powering. I did get vegetal and grass notes on follow up tastes. For the price you can go from mixing to sipping and not miss a beat.
Aroma: Cooked Earthy Agave greets you with a heavy Cinnamon Spice following. A very present Minerality. As this opens up, Spearmint comes through. In the top of the Glass a touch of Floral notes and Haybarn. Taste: Cooked Agave is at the forefront. An Earthiness is also here along with Spicy Cinnamon and Black Pepper. Citrus is very noticeable. A bit of Vegetalness with Herbals of Mint and Anise. Finish: A long Lingering Spicy Cinnamon and Black Pepper Finish that is definitely still full of Agave.
Nose. Cooked agave, pepper and citrus. Taste. Cooked agave, Pepper some Citrus with some Earthiness that shows off the terroir. Finish. Nice medium finish that lingers with the agave and pepper. A fair price for a mixer and casual sipper.
Tasted on 5/27/2026 this alongside another blanco and 2 repos. I let the pour sit and open up for about 20 min before scoring. Sampled this in a wide, open mouth snifter glass, rather than my typical Glencairn glass. Immediately after pouring, the aroma was very strong. Very pleasant agave aroma. After sitting a while, the nose faded a bit and the specific aromas were less pronounced. Retasted on 6/2/2026 in a proper Glencairn glass. Notes updated. Aromas a full and persistent now. Strong fresh agave. Delicious! Nose: fresh agave, sweet banana, spearmint, citrus. Came back to it after letting it sit for 10 min and then got a 1000 Island Dressing vibe on the nose. Taste: full, well rounded agave flavor, a bit of burn on the tongue with the first sip. Finish: Sharp burn at first, very short-lived though and then the finish appears as the burn fades. Very complex evolution of flavors here. Roasted corn, spearmint, some citrus.
Nose is good but it’s missing some agave for my liking, also a weird almost methane smell, once you’re past that, it’s great on the palate with a really good clean agave flavor, long finish easy to drink, really a great tequila for the price.
The aroma is very agave-forward with a hints of caramel and prunes. It has a wonderful depth in the aroma. The flavor is excellent particularly at its $25 price point. I get plenty of cooked agave and a pleasant smokiness. This is an unbeatable value for a very nice blanco.
Nose is cooked agave, vegetal, minerals and earth. Taste is cooked agave, vegetal, minerals and pepper. A nice slipper at a great value. The glass was a Chisholm Standard Proof Jarrito.
Nose: cooked agave cinnamon vegetal asparagus sweet prune mint Palate: agave cinnamon prune mint Finish: funky and long
One of the best value bottles on the shelf. Lots of agave, a citrusy undertone, and a touch of minerality. Very flavorful and low heat.
This is a strong contender for an everyday budget cocktail tequila. Can I sip it? Yes, but this like the repo are best in cocktails. Great quality at a price that’s hard to beat.
Really good nose, smells clean with some cooked agave sweetness with vegetal hints. Awesome palate of cooked agave, a hint of funk/brine. Clean peppery finish. Gets a ton of points for an exceptional value!
Amazing value, over delivers. Great for cocktails and sipping. Great agave forward notes. Winner
Initial Nasal Impact: Warming. Aroma: Cooked agave, mineral, honeysuckle, tropical fruit, petrichor, brine, cut grass, pepper, sweet potato, wet leaves. Mouthfeel: Buttery with sufficient alcohol. Flavor: Tropical fruit, cooked agave, peppermint, brine, earthy, pepper, sweet potato, creamsicle. Finish: Medium with cooked agave, tropical fruit and peppermint. The retro nasal brings out the creamsicle notes which stays around on the finish. Value: Bought at Total Wine for $21.99 (nationwide mid $20's). I give this a 10 on value rating. This blows away most (all?) budget friendly brands. Balanced, complex, harmonious. Roberto Lopez is producing amazing quality tequila at an insane price point.
There's no hiding that this is an agave-forward spirit. Wet stone, caramelized agave, sauerkraut, and funk, this aroma is fun. Flavor is a touch of smoke, agave, hay, and olive. This profile is in my sweet spot. And, for $25 USD, this is a crazy good bargain.
Aroma/Taste: The nose reveals an intriguing mix of mushroom, sweet cooked agave, cola, a slight cheesy funk, and petrichor. On the palate, it introduces mint, green pepper, black pepper, and a hint of anise, creating a well-balanced and memorable flavor. Finish: The finish is medium in length, with a mint flavor that lingers, which I really enjoy. There's also a warm and sweet aftertaste that stays with you, making the experience even more pleasant. Overall: Tasted blind, this tequila has a soft mouthfeel. It's really well balanced between sweet and spicy flavors. I found it very enjoyable and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good tequila.
Just a sample so maybe I need to sit down with it but not the profile for me. Interesting nose and palate with a tad bitter finish.
Blind TMM tasting. Nice sweet agave with a touch of green on the nose. Some agave and white pepper flavor. A bit thin on the finish. Light and easy classic blanco. Extra points for value.
I get a prevalent, pleasant olive/briny aroma, in addition to cooked agave and pepper. The flavor and finish were not complex and both left me wanting more.
Nose - olive, brine, citrus, pepper, agave (great nose). Flavor - agave, pepper, olive (light) very light finish in comparison to the aroma.

Vegetal elements from the aroma shows up in shades on the palate. Nice agave sweetness. Lemon zest. Finish: 21/25 Nice length to the finish. Plenty of warming sensations that settle into the upper chest.
