Nice caramel and vanilla notes with pepper and light minerality. I do get a little more alcohol on the nose maybe because of the proof level but very enjoyable.
I let this open 20+ mins barrel spices sweet cooked agave cinnamon vanilla apple caramel, a little fruit
Wow this is a solid reposado with some complexity. There’s tons of cooked agave coming from the higher proof with great barrel notes to add to that. Nose: cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, oak, apple, butter, and almond. Palate: cooked agave, vanilla, cinnamon, caramel, black pepper, oak, butterscotch, citrus, and almond. Tons of aromas and flavors coming from this one with a great medium to long finish with those flavors evolving one right after the other. Absolutely love this high proof reposado.
Oh boy, I love this one! My favorite Lost Lore? Still have a couple to try but it’s a contender. I like it considerably more than the regular Reposado. Nicely done.
Nose: Pear, Cooked Agave Vanilla, Cinnamon, Almond, Butter, Caramel, Starfruit Body: Medium to Full- Bodied Palate: Cinnamon, Butterscotch, Carmel, Apples Finish: Cinnamon, Toffee, Agave, and Cream Soda This was a great HP Reposado. I didn't get much oak, I expected that I'd get more, but this was a pleasant surprise. Apple, Pear, Cinnamon, and Agave throughout. This one is one of my favorite HP Repos, I've had to date. Yet another resounding WIN from Sergio.
I love seeing more HP repos and ages expression coming out. We Fuerte Fanatics are all about the high proofs. lost lore did an awesome job with this one. Put something in the hands of Sergio cruise and it is usually winner. Nose is nice and sweet. Cooked agave, apple, dried fruits. Barrel notes of vanilla, caramel and cinnamon. A touch of almond and honey. On the palate I get cooked agave, butterscotch, citrus, caramel. It also has a minerality to it and an earthy flavor. I get a nice taste of cinnamon and a small touch of dark chocolate. Finish has a slight touch of bitterness but quickly dissipates and leaves a nice balanced finish. This HP repo competes strongly with Ocho Widow Jane as one of my top HP repos. I actually rate this a point higher at 90.
Lot 2 Aroma: Baking spice and caramel lead the nose, with cooked agave underneath adding depth. Palate: Baking spice carries through on the palate, followed by vanilla and caramel. The higher proof adds intensity without throwing off balance. Finish: Long, spicy finish with a creamy texture that lingers. Overall Impression: Bold reposado with layered barrel sweetness and spice, elevated by the higher proof. One of my top reposados of 2025 hands down.
Received a sample from Agave Swappers member. I’m skipping the nose because I wasn’t using an appropriate glass. This is great. It really tastes like a high proof that didn’t sit for too long in the barrels. The agave was still screaming, and I got just the slightest kick of cinnamon and vanilla, so I think it’s the best of both worlds.
From the first smell to the time it hits my tongue. I get on the nose sweet cooked agave followed by baking spices, caramel and vanilla. On the palate I get the same cooked, caramel and vanilla baking spices on the backend with a long oily finish begging for more. This is batch number 2 the higher proof is the creme da la creme in other words puts it over the top.
Batch 2
nose is heavy on agave with lighter notes of cinnamon, citrus, oak, honey. getting very little ethanol, which is surprising given the high proof. nose is mellow and mouthwatering. palate is warm and delicious! very well balanced with all the aforementioned aromas jumping to life on the tongue. like warm apple pie with some zip to it. the finish finally delivers some nice spice that lingers. I like this lot.
just a beautiful tequila, pepper notes of warm baking spices hint of chocolate on the lingering finish
Cooked agave, caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, baking spice, light oak and fruity! Flavors are more pronounced with this HP expression! Well balanced and great finish! Arturo and Sergio did good with this one.
Sample from Keith with Agave Swappers Lost Lore HP repo: Nose - Agave and minerals with lots of caramel and maybe butterscotch? Some notes of fruit but more like pear than citrus. Palate - Caramel is right up front with the agave. More oak than I expected from the nose but not too much. Cinnamon and pepper finishing with a hint of oak. Honestly, at this point, I might as just say “It’s 1414. Of COURSE it’s good!” It’s just getting repetitive now, but it’s pretty much a guarantee of quality. Really like this repo. The higher proof shines through without overdoing it. If you get the chance give it a try.
Nose: cooked agave, pepper, floral/herbs, good alcohol kick. Palate: sweet cooked agave, peppery, anise, good alcohol kick, sweeter than regular HP.
on the nose strong agave tequila, settling with light oak vanilla caramel on the palate agave foward , light oak vanilla butterscotch, silk texture but settles nicely long finish.
Agave swap Nose: cooked agave, citrus, caramel, apple, oak Taste: cooked agave, white pepper, cinnamon, vanilla Finish: vanilla, apple, cinnamon, white pepper
This is straight delicious. Retains a lot of the cooked agave flavor, but has a lot of the butterscotch, marshmallow flavors from the barrel.
This tequila is for serious tequila drinkers. It's strong and flavorful, not for mixing in margaritas. Taste: The main flavor is agave, that's the plant tequila is made from, and it tastes kind of grassy. There's also a big hit of black pepper, some citrus like lime, and a slightly earthy aftertaste. It's strong stuff, and you'll definitely notice the peppery kick and a kind of mineral taste. Because it's "high proof," the flavors are really intense. Basically, this tequila is all about bold flavors. If you like a strong, peppery tequila with lots of agave flavor, this is for you.
Vanilla , light caramel, pepper , anise , citrus , brine , light butterscotch and brine. This is a blanco with flavor type reposado.
LOT No. 1 BOTTLE No. 738

Nose: Cooked agave comes through first, flanked by seasoned oak and a soft layer of vanilla. There’s some alcohol presence that rises up quickly but doesn’t overwhelm. Cinnamon and black pepper add a dry, spicy edge. Palate and mouthfeel: Agave stays at the center, supported by oak and a steady wash of black pepper. The texture is on the drier side with a slight astringency that keeps it from feeling too rounded. There’s definite heat here, but it’s well managed - punchy without being harsh. Finish: Pepper forward with a trailing bite of alcohol that lingers a bit longer than it should, but doesn’t completely overshadow the flavors. Final thoughts: This is a good pour. The high proof and barrel influence work in its favor, adding body and complexity. That said, the finish feels a little rough around the edges. It could use a touch more refinement to really land clean.
