Cambio continues to impress with their Rosa release. I have not been a big Rosa enjoyer across the board, but this one is head & shoulders superior to any other I’ve tasted. Wonderful integration of French wine casks on the distillate without getting too fruity or woody. I believe this is even fermented using French wine yeast. Outstanding, with an interesting sense of terroir.

Amazing work from Cambio. The nose is a little muted but the body tastes like candy and the finish is amazing. The value on this is also insane.

A little candy. Don’t love the nose, but it is delish. Finish is a tiny bit rough but flavor is very good. Candy candy. I never give a tequila 10/10 on value but this is an 11/10 on value

Insider tip. I met John at a tasting event, after I already purchased this bottle on Sip. I asked him which creations is he most proud of. This #10 Rosa was one of his two selections. My initial tasting was off the charts. And this was after having 3 neat and 3 cocktails. This was the best of the tastings. (Fortaleza Repo and Montagave Anejo were in the blind tastings). Incredible flavor for a Repo! The agave pops in this creation. John explained it well to me. His Rosa pairing with his tequila marry very well together. I need to follow up on this since I have not opened my bottle after the event, but I have been anticipating this for the last week waiting to open it up. If you are like me, the hardest part about loving tequila is having so many different brands and so many bottles to go through. This bottle is cutting in my line of what to open next since my initial impression was incredible.
