Senda Real silver Sample from junior zander NOM 1482 Lote 14915 SRS On the nose, i got lots of sweet fruit, some pear and anise. On the palate, I got chocolate! and sweet apple/pear, sweet agave with a nice long pepper fizz i didnt know anything about this brand when i tried it, and I'm really enjoying this! notes: sipping out of a glencairn glass at 9pm. 1st sip of the day. Haven't eaten since 3pm
Nose: Opens with soft oak and a clear cooked agave presence. There’s a slight astringency that adds a sharp edge but doesn’t contribute much complexity. Overall, it’s clean but fairly simple and restrained on the aromatic front. Palate & Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is thin and watery, lacking richness or texture. Flavors are straightforward: cooked agave, supported by oak, black pepper, and a very gentle caramel sweetness. A subtle nuttiness, similar to pine nuts adds a rustic touch, but complexity remains minimal. Finish: Medium in length, the finish is marked by dry oak and a persistent black pepper warmth. There’s a touch of bitterness that lingers, which may not appeal to everyone, but it ties back to the oak and earthy notes from the palate. Overall Thoughts: This tequila is decent. Nothing flashy, but respectable, especially for the price. The agave and oak are appreciated, and there’s a genuine aged character here, albeit a bit one dimensional. The bitter edge and thin mouthfeel hold it back from being a standout, but for a budget pour, it delivers on value. Recommended as a bargain option or mixer, rather than a sipper.
I was hoping this repo continued where the superb blanco left off. Although its a decent sipper and probably better as a mixer, falls a tad short. Not very complex. Agave. oak, roasted nuts, simple and decent. Still worth the price point at under 25 bones if you can find it. Better repo options for about the same price or a couple of bucks more. The blanco/silver though, is a must have.
One of the most underrated blancos made. Not sure if they were discontinued. Not widely distributed. Agave going in, then crisp mint, vegetal, pear, minerals, just a great clean blanco. Budget friendly AF. Dont hesitate grabbing it if you see it.
