Wild Common Tequila Reposado
“After 15 minutes of allowing it to breathe very subdued notes on the nose. Some agave but not much else I could discern. Taste similar to the nose, oddly subdued for a reposado. It’s almost as if it wasn’t aged enough and is stuck between the stellar lote 2 blanco and a reposado. Not quite sure what NOM 1123 was going for in this reposado but it just didn’t work for my palate. The price is also a factor in my rating. At $85 plus shipping it’s out of touch for a reposado. ”

Don Vicente Tequila Blanco
“Nose: Cooked agave, vegetal, earthy (West Texas after a rain) tones with slight hint of vanilla. Flavors: wet earth, vegetal, hints of black pepper and a skosh of vanilla. Summary: yet another outstanding Blanco from NOM 1579. A perfect blend of earthy and vegetal notes. ”

San Matias Tahona Blanco
“The nose is like burnt rubber as is the taste. After several attempts to drink it I cannot finish one pour. It sits on my bar as a reminder expensive tequila is not always great tequila. ”
