Puerto Vallarta DGN-B-257-061231 Nose: Agave shows first, clean but a little sharp with alcohol. Vanilla softens it, while hay and a mineral streak give it weight. Anise and mint close in, adding a fresh, herbal edge. Palate & Mouthfeel: Medium-thin in body but with a bit of grip that keeps it from feeling too light. Agave is steady, joined by a big push of anise and cinnamon. Vanilla runs underneath, balanced by hay and minerality, with fresh mint cutting through. It drinks hotter than its proof, though the natural sweetness evens it out. Finish: Medium in length, carrying sweet agave, anise, and hay. Just as it fades, a faint chemical note sneaks in and lingers - a flaw that undercuts what could have been a clean, classic close. Final Thoughts: Not a complex tequila, but it shows plenty of old school agave character. The profile is tasty and balanced in its own straightforward way, though that off note at the end keeps it a step or two below where it could be.

Puerto Vallarta blanco Sample from junior zander DGN B 257-061231 First sniff, a lot of alcohol on nose, with a little fruit in the background, some unami/mushrooms, some raw agave, vegetal and pepper Palate - there's something familiar i can't define - a fruit maybe? with some black licorice (more than anise) and mildly sweet. Finish is hot with black pepper Not my favorite profile Note: Glencairn 4pm an hour after arroz con pollo

This is on point with anything that comes from Orendain, it’s old school and no nonsense. I like this style, it takes me back.

NOM 1110 Nose: An umami aroma - perhaps chorizo. Sweet agave, a little smoke and trace cinnamon. Flavor: The appearance was on the watery side, so I was surprised to have my first sip coat my tongue nicely. Round agave notes, cinnamon and almonds, with a touch of pepper and smoke. Finish is shortish with borderline over the top sweetness. The pepper asserts itself a little more towards the end.

Marbete is from aprox. 2003, Mexican 1 liter 35% abv. version, tasted on 10-7-23. Aroma: starts very green & vegetal, after 20 minutes in the glass the vegetal softens, raw agave, cooked agave, light acidity, slightly minty, agave note becomes sweeter. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour & vegetal balance, as usual with low abv. it ends thin. Finish is medium, raw green agave and light sweet cooked agave notes persist for a short time.

Nose: sweet agave notes with a hint of smoky wood. very pleasant Palate: moderately sweet agave flavor with oak barrel notes and hints of anise. finish: smooth, sweet anise, medicinal, smoky agave notes. overall, it's not bad, but additives have made this tequila overwhelming sweet
