We selected 10 high-quality organic blancos, all from different distilleries, to see how they compared when tasted blind by 22 members of our tasting panel.
After the first two I expect nothing short of greatness from this line. Tequila Alquimia has a great authentic quality that makes it unique.
One of the newer brands on the market that caught our attention was Tequila Alquimia, an organic tequila made in the highlands of Jalisco. I distinctly remember Grover pulling me aside at the Monterey Tequila & Mezcal Expo and saying, “You need to try the
AMM Blind Tasting: Aroma: some olive brine, citrus, white pepper, honey and cooked agave. Palate: buttery most full-bodied so far, not a whole lot going on but some green pepper, celery, and agave. It’s clean, but not overly complex. Finish: pretty short, clean not too much heat.
