Nose: Agave is present right from the start, followed by oak and a vinous note that adds depth. Orange peel and caramel bring warmth, with cranberry brightness and soft vanilla behind them. Coffee and barrel spice sit in the background, giving the nose shape without feeling heavy. Palate & Mouthfeel: Thin but oily in texture, with agave leading the entry before oak settles in. Vanilla, coffee, and cocoa follow, while orange adds some lift. Barrel spice and black pepper build toward the back, giving it a firm, slightly drying edge. Finish: Creamy and oaky on the exit, with lingering barrel spice. There’s a brief spiced cream soda impression before it fades. Final Thoughts: I enjoy this one, even though it leans more into oak than I usually prefer in a reposado. The quality is there, the flavors are cohesive, and it offers solid value.
AMM Blind Tasting: Aroma: some olive brine, citrus, white pepper, honey and cooked agave. Palate: buttery most full-bodied so far, not a whole lot going on but some green pepper, celery, and agave. It’s clean, but not overly complex. Finish: pretty short, clean not too much heat.
On the nose there’s a lot of cooked agave with some faint floral vapors. There’s minerality, natural sweetness and some muted lemon zest. It’s clean and pleasant. I taste the cooked agave. It’s up front and followed by the citrus zest. The sweetness is balanced with the other flavors. The zesty black pepper starts to kick in. Overall this is a solid blanco. It’s agave and citrus with some nice zest. ————————————————-————————— Rated Blind: 86 N: caramelized agave, honey, natural sweetness T: honeysuckle, brine, white pepper O: nice nose and flavor. Cohesive
This is a good tequila for me amongst the mixed reviews. Smell has agave, oak, caramel, and cinnamon. Great flavor that still stays true to the agave and has a nice balance of barrel influence. Lots of agave and cinnamon with some light vanilla. Nice finish with a citrusy fade. Bargin tequila that more people should be trying!
