“A really nice treat. Lots of agave on this right upfront on the nose and initial sip. From there hints of black pepper, caramel and a ton of cooked agave keep coming. An exceptional finish with the right amount of heat. Could sip this all night. If you see this, don’t pass it up. An old school gem.”

“Absolutely incredible. NY/NJ Agave Club hit a home run with this one. I was fortunate to try it with the club guys and Alex from Siempre which was a truly awesome experience. Amazing story behind this and a great tribute to the amazing Remy Newland. Look to the club members for their tasting notes as they picked it out, I was just honored to drink it with them! ”

“I like this. Nice nose with a malolactic funk, hint of mint and citrus. Easy sipper, nice agave sweetness, some hay/barnyard notes with black pepper. Clean finish, not much burn”

“Wow, this is really well done by Yeyo, Sergio Jason and crew. This started at NOM 1414 with Yéyo’s already super clean highlands profile of cooked agave, citrus, minerality, floral notes…Then they took it into Columbian Black Strap molasses rum casks for 11 months before finishing it in Willet bourbon barrels. I got this wild tropical brightness that almost shouldn’t work in tequila… papaya, banana, melon, molasses, caramel… but somehow it still drinks like tequila instead of anover-oaked bomb. The bourbon finish rounds it out without burying the agave. It’s super clean, I think I used the word “elegant” when sipping it. An amazing tequila for a great cause. I can get behind that! ”

“High-proof, tahona-crushed blancos are my lane, and this one can definitely hang. Bright citrus up front, that classic clean Patrón profile, plus some minerality and a cool chalky/coco powder thing going on that I actually really liked. A nice medium finish with some salinity. Overall, this is well done and feels like a smart move by Patron to bring some aficionados back in after killing off the Roca line. For around $50 it’s really good value and I’d definitely drink it again. ”

“Legitimately spectacular. No other way to put it. Amazing nose of cooked agave sweetness, honey, hints of smoke/camp fire, a little citrus. Lots going on here. It gets better with every sip and the longer it opens up. Much more of the notes from the nose. For lack of a better term, it almost tastes like a slightly sweet mezcal (in a very good way). It’s vegetal with that 1123 minerality in the DNA. A great finish with a subtle smokiness that adds character, doesn’t over power. As traditional as it gets. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I love it. ”

“A nice nose with some plum, fig, baking spices and wood. The palate has a burst of alcohol up front that dissipates pretty quickly followed by some raisin, cinnamon and caramel. It’s very oily and has a nice easy finish that keeps you wanting some more. Not rating “value” on what the 3rd party market dictates because that has nothing to do with Fortaleza as the brand. The wholesale price and MSRP aren’t all that nuts and based off of those I think the value is appropriate for this (knowing full well that no one is going to get it at those) Overall, I liked this one. Would I go crazy trying to hunt one down (or any of the WB’s)? No. But it is definitely a high quality and unique repo.”

“AMM 2025 Blanco Blind Tasting Kit: Aroma of black pepper, mint, celery, cooked agave, minerals with some bell pepper, maybe a hint of green olive. Smells clean. Really nice aroma. On the palate, much of the same mintiness cooked agave, black pepper, a little bit of honey with a good amount of minerality and wet stone. A nice oily mouth feel which seems indicative of good quality. The finish is lengthy with some pepper mid heat pretty lengthy overall seems like a high-quality Tequila. 2nd day- Aroma still really good. Likely best of all. Palate still really good with a very pleasant finish. I like this one a lot. ”

“Wow this is a delicious one! Fermented with fibers and distilled to proof. The amount of cooked agave sweetness on the nose and palette is insane. A tasty finish that’s very easy to drink. I’d absolutely love it if it were a little higher proof but overall this is really well done.”

“This is a spectacular tequila. Great nose of butterscotch, caramel, black pepper likely from the high proof with classic cooked agave sweetness. The palate has much of the same notes with a nice citrus bite and an almost Mezcal/Raicilla hint to it which I love. A really pleasant finish with some nice heat from the high proof. This stands up with anything coming out of El Pandillo in my opinion. Congrats, Don Vicente & Co.! ”

“This is awesome stuff! A blanco rested in oak for around two weeks (still keeps it a blanco) but gives it a really unique complexity. Across the board on the nose and palate I get the traditional blanco notes of black pepper, lemon and other citrus but because of the slight time in a barrel there’s hints of cinnamon and baking spices. A really nice finish. This should attract blanco purists as well as reposado drinkers. Really well done! ”

“Aged for 8 months. Decent nose with citrus, pepper and a little caramel sweetness to it but doesn’t smell artificial. The palate is fine, not overly complex but pretty clean with subtle sweetness from the 8 month aging. A crisp finish, not much bite. Overall, pretty decent.”

“A decent nose with some citrus and pepper hints. Subtle floral notes. On the palate I got more of the same. The citrus pops through. Not very complex, a little thin but nothing offensive either. Pretty clean. A decent finish, not much bite to it. Overall, this is pretty solid.”

“This is some incredible stuff. Wow. Amazing nose and the flavor gets better with each sip. The French oak really shines. The bottle is a really nice piece of artwork and this is not just a pretty bottle, the liquid inside is great. Pricey, but great. Thanks to Greg NH Tequila Collector for the pour!”

“Really great nose with some nice cooked agave sweetness. Palate has a ton of black pepper, citrus, cooked agave sweetness that’s pretty noticeable from the Michoacán agaves. The finish is nice. Definitely has some heat at 108 proof but got better as it opened up. This is a good sipper for aficionados. Pretty complex and delicious stuff.”

“AMM Blind Tasting: Nose of butterscotch, cola, brown sugar and cherry with hints of sweet baking spices and cooked agave. It’s an easy sipper with notes of caramel and more of the butterscotch and cola. A bit of a funky finish. Overall pretty good. ”
