Impressed by this Patron release. Didn't expect that. Nice minerality, citrus, lime, pear. And enough agave to convince anybody it's legit. Nose matches palate nicely. A bit on the thin side, but a great Blanco at a great price. I found it a bit better than Lalo. which i found decent. At least I know every mediocre bar will carry this. So it works for me.

High-proof, tahona-crushed blancos are my lane, and this one can definitely hang. Bright citrus up front, that classic clean Patrón profile, plus some minerality and a cool chalky/coco powder thing going on that I actually really liked. A nice medium finish with some salinity. Overall, this is well done and feels like a smart move by Patron to bring some aficionados back in after killing off the Roca line. For around $50 it’s really good value and I’d definitely drink it again.

Nose: Sweet and raw agave comes through right away, backed by a clear vegetal note that keeps it from leaning too soft. There’s a light minerality underneath, with a fresh lift of mint that keeps the nose feeling open and lively. Palate & Mouthfeel: Medium full in texture, with a round, coating feel that carries the flavors well. Sweet agave leads, but it’s fuller here, moving into bright citrus and a touch of salinity that reads like salted butter. The minerality stays consistent, while mint and green herbal notes build alongside a slightly raw vegetal character that gives it shape. Finish: Clean and steady, with lingering sweet agave and a soft salted butter note that fades without much weight. Final Thoughts: This leans into the old school Roca Patrón profile: agave forward, a little raw, wet stone, lots of citrus, and not overly dressed up. It’s a solid reminder that Patrón is still capable of putting out quality releases. At around $45, it’s a genuine bargain for what it delivers.

While this is a decent tequila at the price point it just seems a bit soft for me. I was hoping for more complexity and rich bold flavors.

This high proof needs to open up at first, nice mouth feel, cooked agave, light pepper, lemon citrus notes. Patron did a great job here.

Bottle: L26040PA300 0709, LOTE BTH 0126 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked and raw agave, citrus, Bergamot orange, lemon, lime, black tea, minerality, petrichor, cultured butter, wet and dry earth, vegetal, fire-grilled artichoke, fresh cut grass, brine/salinity, black and white pepper, and olive…holy smokes, I wasn’t expecting that Palate: Cooked and raw agave, black and white pepper, brine/salinity, olive, minerality, cultured butter, buckwheat honey, cinnamon, citrus, grapefruit pith, alcohol, vegetal, fire-grilled artichoke, bell pepper, herbal, thyme, anise, and fennel…enjoyably herbal with bitter and sweet notes superbly balanced Finish: Alcohol, brine/salinity, vegetal, and dry earth…long and warming with a seriously thick and oily mouthfeel Overall: This one really took me by surprise, in a wonderful way. There’s so much more complexity compared to their previous Roca release and the alcohol feels far more tame despite the even higher proof. There’s solid continuity of agave and citrus between the nose and palate, while simultaneously evolving to include dry herbs and a complex sweetness. Throw in some nutty/buttery notes, some dominant fire-grilled artichoke, and an absurdly low price point and the result is a spirit that really deserves some attention.

The nose is a bit muted at first, so give this time to open up before getting serious. Aroma is minerals, earth, citrus, black pepper, and caramelized agave. Flavor and finish are the best part. More cooked agave, olive, brine, and earthy. Finish is a long olive and brine sensation that I really enjoy. Mouthfeel is thick. Patrón deserves credit for releasing a product like this. (This is not a paid review, and I purchased the bottle in a random retail store. Just making that clear.)

5/16/26 Admittedly the nose is neutral, but I detect slight vanilla; initial oily mouthfeel, warm agave across the mid; slight fruit spice on the backend; awesome deal at less than $50USD;

Received as a sample from Agave Swappers so value is set at 5/10. This is better than expected but not as good as some are raving! I give it about an 85.

Not much aroma. It’s agave forward with a kick. Peppery and fades into some sweetness. I didn’t like it as a sipper but went well in a margarita. Oh, also has the brine thing going on. I think it’s been overhyped. 47 bucks for a Tahona tequila ain’t bad tho. 100 proof. I’m sure I’ll use for margaritas again.

In the aroma, cooked agave comes through first with some earthy and grassy notes behind it. There’s also a bit of alcohol on the nose that feels a little harsh at first, but it opens up and smooths out some after sitting for a few minutes. On the palate, cooked and raw agave both show up alongside black pepper, alcohol, and a noticeable metallic edge. There’s some astringency there too that makes it come across a little harsh overall. The finish lingers longer than expected with pepper, alcohol, and that dry astringent character hanging on through the back end.

The nose was the weakest part of the experience for me, I got a bit more ethyl than I was expecting even after letting it open up a bit. But it opens up to show some raw and cooked agave, some citrus, and wet earth. The palate is tons of cooked agave, some vegetal notes, a little more citrus, and cracked pepper. Long, warm finish with nice heat that isn’t overwhelming. It doesn’t feel as thick/oily in the mouth as I expected, but it’s still really nice. This is a lot like if base Patrón had some proper character to it. It feels like it’s got its own personality and something to say, while the 40% blanco feels a lot more like the base of what tequila should be without much soul. $42 around me, and I’d buy it again. I imagine it would also make killer cocktails.

A lot more going on here than the standard Patron blanco, I’ll give them a lot of credit for that. Unfortunately I felt that as the bottle opened up the funk/profile became a little too strong for my liking; had a sort of rubbery burnt finish, which I know some may like but it’s not always for me. However it wasn’t so overpowering that it ruined my initial experience with this bottle. The first half was really quite tasty with vegetal, mineral, and peppery notes with some anise on the finish. Hope Patron continues to lean in this direction and it brings the average consumer along with it. Would totally take this over a lot of the widely distributed tequilas that are typically offered at bars.

I was able to try a sample at a tequila tasting, and it was good not life changing. when all the hype behind it, I expected it more from it. Overall, it's better than the other expressions that patron offers. i'll probably revisit it to see how I feel about it later.

Was really hyped to try this but found it a little harsh even after giving it time to breathe. The finish was lacking and pretty short/thin. Maybe my expectations were too high for this one but it’s just okay and won’t be a staple. Respectfully, this is the worst high proof blanco I’ve tried to date. Mind you the competitor is fierce (g4, Tapatio, Terralta, wild common, siembra alteno, Volans, Fortaleza, Cascahuin, lost lore)

This Patron 100 took me by surprise, there is no doubt that it is made the right way, absolutely a wonderful HP blanco. Nose, lots of sweet agave (raw & cooked), minerals, citrus, earth, olive brine, along with some mint. Let this one open up for a few minutes. Palate, nice mouthfeel, buttery, citrus (grapefruit), some white pepper, baking spices, minerals, a little earth, olive brine, and mint. Patron knocked it out of the park with this one. To my own surprise this “100” is a must for my bar, definitely one worth having on hand.

Celebrity tequila has been around for a while… this might be the first “influencer” tequila. It’s good and the price is right, but for $10-$15 more there are options the blow this out of the water.

Soft nose with hints of earth, cement, grass and citrus. Not as bright in the glass as I was hoping for. Medium mouthfeel. Sweet agave upfront, with cinnamon-pepper, mint and citrus tones. Finish is long and satisfying - until it turns a wee-bit harsh.

This is good! Once it opens up its even better. Really good nose that follows through on taste with tons of agave and minerals. Very oily mouthfeel with a nice earthy cinnamon finish. For sure my favorite of the Patron line so far!

Great flavors coming from this. Buttery and sweet agave, with mineral notes, and I still taste some lemon or lime citrus in there, which is what I’ve always known this brand for. Awesome finish too, not hot, nice viscosity and mouth feel. I have to tip my hat to patron for this one.
