“This jungle juice is BOLD! So earthy, herbal, and gravelly. Aroma: Agave punch, tart plums, wet leaves, minerality. Flavor: Agave, earthy, herbal, minerals, pepper. Finish: Every bit of this 48% ABV powers through with an herbal peppery ending. ”

“Aroma: Light nose. Fruity but more like banana not citrus, light oak Flavor: Butterscotch or caramel—sweeter than the aroma but not too sweet, oak, cinnamon on the back palate. Short finish. Crushable. Would be an easy one to share with friends new to tequila. The distillery change is a big step up. ”

“Nose: Bold citrus with very light notes of hay and malted vanilla. Taste: Agave, earthy, herbal, white pepper. Finish: Nice initial tingle that mellows quickly, with a lingering herbal trail. Not too light or too hot, right down the middle. Interesting contrast between the different aroma and flavor. This is very easy to sip. Its citrus and earthy notes would make for a killer tequila mojito, or of course a margarita if that’s all you can imagine. The distillery change is a big step up. ”

“Sampled at Aurora Tequila Fest. The extra time in the barrel compared to #4 Corazon completely transforms this, can’t believe they are related. Maybe too much complexity, if you can believe it. But really interesting. ”

“Sampled at Aurora Tequila Fest. At about $25 this is a great deal with extra points for value. But it tastes too soft and sweet to me. ”

“NOM 1424 | Yet another distillery change, and this one is a downgrade to me from 1414. Just had a sample at Aurora Tequila Fest, but the astringent flavor wasn’t good enough for me. ”

“Lovely fruity aroma with orange, oak, caramel, and cloves. Flavors of stewed apples, oranges, cinnamon, oak, and caramel. Finish has a lingering black pepper zing with a touch of smoky oak. It’s barrel forward but full of flavor. For under $50 this is approachable for dark añejo lovers. ”

“Sampled at Binny’s All Things Agave, June 2026. What can I say, it’s just ok. This would be more for cocktails than sipping for me. High points for value as it’s only $25-30 by me. ”

“Sampled at Binny’s All Things Agave, June 2026. High value points at around $36. Soft profile, not complex. But not offensive either. Much better than the mezcal. ”

“Sampled at Binny’s All Things Agave, June 2026. Glad I got to try this one, it’s legit. Not terribly complex, but an extreme value for a clean tahona crushed still strength agave profile for $49.99 by me. I’d be happy to see this widely available on bar shelves so I can have some better cocktails made when at non-agave bars. ”

“Aroma: Loads of citrus and agave, with light mint, very inviting. Taste: More agave and citrus, but now some earthiness, dry herbs, and spices enter. Finish: The high 49% abv doesn’t overpower, it delights with a light background tingle that lingers. The exit has some vegetal jalapeño spice and dry earthiness to it that some will love, for me it’s not quite as pleasant as the first aroma suggested. Extra points for value at around $53 for a 98 proof well made tequila! This is a big step up from the base Casa Loy blanco. ”

“Nose: Caramel, green apple, & banana Taste: Molasses (a burnt caramel and cocoa with a slight bitterness), citrus peel, barrel spice, & oak. It’s creamy/chewy with a nice finish. The rum barrel has a big impact on the profile. It’s a beautiful after-dinner treat. Most importantly, this is a charitable effort to fund improvements to the Francisco Rojas Gonzalez school in Arandas through the Tequila That Cares Foundation. ”
