Orange peel. Banana bread. Not drying which I appreciate. Very nice use of aging without hiding the agave. Finish: 23/25 Very light mouth numbing. Value: 8/10 $70 in San Francisco. Very few repos 50%+, only being $10 more than the 50%+ blanco is great. If high proof repos become more common later on, I may adjust Legs for days. Strong drinkability like the other Manuscrito I have tried.”

Peppery enough to almost taste carbonated. Juicy pear, lemon, lime, ripe cooked agave. Proof definitely comes across above 40%. Finish: 23/25 (updated 22 —> 23) Long peppery sprite while ending in sweet cooked agave. Value: TBD (tasted blind and don’t know the cost yet) Updated: 8/10 $60 in San Francisco for a high proof blanco. The amount of carbonated sprite I pick up is surprising. Although it does settle down the longer I sit with it. Will need to revisit for sure. ”

Zumbador Blanco High Proof
“This is a fantastic candidate to have fun blending with others in the Zumbador lineup. For example, 50% of the high proof blanco with 50% of the anejo. Aroma: 22/25 Green pepper, cinnamon, cooked agave, sweet with a hint of floral. Tangerine peel. Palate: 26/30 Spicy, black pepper, cooked agave, sweet herbal notes. Finish: 21/25 Flavorful, although not very long for me. Value: 10/10 $45 in San Francisco. Fantastic for a well made addictive free high proof blanco. Not sure there is anything under $50 that could beat this in a blind. Will be testing it out against G4, Fortaleza, Volans, and Tapito soon! ”

Lost Lore Tequila Blanco
“Aroma: 21/25 Funky diesel. Almost rum funk like. Underneath lies black pepper, butter, and a general green blur. Palate: 26/30 Think luscious mouth feel. Dense, heavy, and a sense of moisture in the air so to speak. Mild agave. Heat on the sides of the tongue on the backend. Finish: 21/25 Value: 6/10 $55 in San Francisco. Not the best value when combined with the specific flavor profile.”

Tierra de Ensueño Tequila Blanco
“Aroma: 24/25 First word that comes to mind is complexity. Really nice and unique aroma. Floral, herbal, sweet lemon peel, and light oak barrel influence. Palate: 29/30 The resting in oak barrels before bottle has left clear characteristics on this pour and I love it. Medium to high level of lusciousness mouth feel. Thick and syrupy. Sweet lemon cooked agave. Light level of funk. This is delicious. 42% is a pleasant boost from the classic floor of 40%. Finish: 22/25 This is really the only place this pour starts to drop for me. Finish while tasty is shorter and less present than I would have hoped for. Value: 8/10 $55 in San Francisco is a strong value. ”
