cooked agave is front and center with vanilla cinnamon butterscotch notes rounding out the sweetness on the nose and a tropical fruit and black pepper presence rounds out the aromas. The taste is similar with Black pepper adding a nice warmth to this high proof repo.

This is a spectacular tequila. Great nose of butterscotch, caramel, black pepper likely from the high proof with classic cooked agave sweetness. The palate has much of the same notes with a nice citrus bite and an almost Mezcal/Raicilla hint to it which I love. A really pleasant finish with some nice heat from the high proof. This stands up with anything coming out of El Pandillo in my opinion. Congrats, Don Vicente & Co.!

Excellent high proof repo! Nose is agave, vanilla and alcohol. Agave, cinnamon, vanilla and some orange on the taste. Nice pepper finish alongside some honey and fruit. Very well done!

Very nice high proof repo. Aroma- agave, pepper, vanilla, floral, alcohol Flavor- Agave, heavy minerality, mint, honey, pepper Nice long tingle on the lips but not in the chest, with a slight citrus rind bitterness. High abv delivers the Fuerte!

Nose if cooked agave, honey, pepper and cinnamon. The alcohol will not knock you over. There is a viscosity on the palate and a creaminesss

The aroma is very expressive with cooked agave, sage, lavender, citrus, honey, and herbal notes Flavor has some barrel influence of cinnamon and vanilla with a lot of cooked agave, earth, minerality, and herbal notes. It doesn’t drink hot at 104 proof but you know the alcohol is there. Really good bottle. $100 is fair but on the higher side.

The extra ABV on this repo really works. I'm getting lots of pleasing aromas and flavors, like melon, vanilla, agave, black pepper, butter, tropical and dried fruits. The finish is long and somewhat dry. Overall a nicely made tequila.

Single barrel pick. Aged 3 months. Nose is slate, mineral, cooked agave, light cinnamon. The nose is a little hot on alcohol. Palate is a burst of agave flavor, mineral, slightly herbaceous, green pepper and citrus; then the barrel rounds out the edges with a touch of caramel that goes hand in hand with cooked agave sweetness. Beautiful reposado expression in the sense that the barrel flavor is light, and the aging melds the flavors together rather than imparting tons of barrel character. Finish is long and complex owing to the high proof. A top-notch representation of el pandillo goodness.

Great high proof repo! Beautiful light gold in the glass. Nose bursts with agave, light vanilla, a hint of cinnamon and citrus. On the palate bright strong agave and big minerality. The citrus from the nose turns toward orange peel. Vanilla also comes in and a great tingle on the mid tongue with a very pleasant mouth feel and mid to long finish. Lovely, my favorite Don Vicente expression (and all are good).

Mouthfeel is what really stands out. Just extraordinary the way it dances around the palate. Just priced a tad bit high.

This is the Goldilocks of repo there are a few of these. The other that comes to mind is the Siembra Alteño repo. Still holds the agave notes its fresh with what think is just the right amount of oak wood spic notes more maple honey than vanilla. Love it

Received a sample from Agave Swappers Aroma: cooked agave, apple, light barrel notes Taste: wow, incredible. Another grand slam from NOM1579. Same as the aroma, but you also get some zesty notes, just the lightest hit of cinnamon and oak. Finish: you really want it to go on forever. Very well balanced peppery kick. Overall: this is a 90 all day in my book.
