“Tequila is a can’t miss. Their still strength is no exception. I get agave forward, mint, white pepper, anise, vegetal and some grassy notes on the palate. Some sweet potato comes through at the tail end of the finish I get the same notes plus some citrus on the nose I didn’t get in the palate. It’s very good solid as expected, just doesn’t pop though for a 100pf”

“I think some complexity got lost from the reposado to the añejo. This was aged 18 months total. 12 more than the repo. Seems like that was too much for my liking. The agave and earthiness and grassy notes are all but gone. It’s still a nice añejo. I found the barrel notes not overdone it still clean and balance just without some of the punchiness that’s in the blanco and repo. ”

“I loved this one. Aged 6 months in both American oak and French oak then blended. I get so many of both, vanilla caramel , tropical fruits, maple, raisin, earthiness and musky ”

“I love this mellowed version of their blanco. Their blanco definitely has a kick giving it some character. It was created to remind you tequila blanco back in the day was for those that don’t like to mince words. It’s in your face demanding respect. This Rosa mellows that down a couple of notches while going it a different profile. Aged less than 2 months in Tempranillo wine barrels. Wine from Mexico’s Valle de Guadalupe. It’s complex still maintains some agave and citrus from the unaged blanco ”

“It’s a blanco with character. It’s punchy agave forward bright and refreshing. I thought it was cool how some cooked agave sweetness comes through from mid palate and finish. I don’t get that sweetness on the nose. I do get some butter aromas as well as on the palate. Very cool. Nose agave, butter, grassy Palate agave grassy mint butter and pepper 8.5/10”

“The agave comes through nicely. I also get vanilla tropical fruit, chocolate, cinnamon and barrel spice. This is a very nice complex repo, Salud! Aroma is clean with agave forward yet the vanilla is right behind. Palate: more cinnamon forward with vanilla right behind then the agave and black pepper with a hint of chocolate and earthiness ”

“I love getting surprised by a tequila expression even when expectations are high. Ensueño has been around a little time now but have only tried it recently. Aroma: lactic fermentation, minerality, brine, black pepper and green pepper citrus Palate is medium body, earthy, mint with citrus. I get more agave and licorice at the end. Easy to start but the 42% starts feeling hot at the very end. Complexity throughout 8.5/10”

“Like the label says herbaceous citrus cinnamon earthy Aroma and palate are very similar. I get a punch of pepper on the palate with the agave anise. It’s clean at 40% makes sense it doesn’t have much texture but the finish is decent medium 7/10”

“Aroma: can’t pin point the sweetness, like raisins or candied cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla and honey for sure not that much oak. It’s really pleasant aroma though having trouble finding the agave notes. Complex aroma It’s taken a minute but am not finding some agave Palate: clean well done, on another level finesse delicate, some heat earthy tropical fruit highland agave for sure 8/10”

“This is really clean mellows down from the blanco. Hints of agave and pepper notes left. The nice thing is the barrel notes are not overly done. It’s still fairly balanced for an añejo. The barrel notes are well rounded and all around well done añejo. Not sure I would put it in a cocktail ”

“Aroma: bright citrus lime for a second I got some fruity bubblegum but clean not off putting. The vegetal notes and agave come through nicely Palate: okay nicely unique but same… oily viscous, smoky pepper earthy and vegetal. It keeps evolving where the finish turns bitter Overall it’s good but the finish while not offensive, it’s bold I’ll just say that 7.5/10”

“This is a reposado on the label but if in a blind tasting I may not notice it’s light aging. Right away I get clean fresh citrus and raw agave notes, then some grassy earthy and grapefruit. The aroma is pleasant and fresh. Not really able to find any barrel notes on the nose Took a taste and it’s pretty much the same as on the nose though it’s does start off a little harsh. Once it mellows down the finish is clean earthy agave and pepper and the slightest baking spices like and bourbon. It probably took a few minutes. ”

“So good. Long clean finish with just the right amount of sweet barrel notes for me. Those that really like barrel notes and aging this may not be for you though. ”

“Man where has this been! Excellent juice here. Fresh agave raw vegetal mildly sweet. The coked agave has some depth that takes me to the brick ovens it was cooked in. ”

“This has some kick to it. It’s not offensive though. I can appreciate that there’s some character and old school for adults only beverage. It subsides quickly leaving a good amount of agave, oak barrel essence vanilla pepper earthy chocolate notes. It’s very nice”

“El Pandillo up front, fresh raw agave white and black pepper and the water it’s like light but yet the texture is soft and silky with more agave anise finish. Only low is is value. It’s quite expensive. I found it for $90”

“Right away this awakens the senses. The aroma of raw agave, mint, cinnamon and green peppers. For 96 proof this still makes an easy sipper with complexity in layers. The value does blow its score way up. It’s well warranted provided such a quality expression at $46 these days. That also makes it perfect for cocktails ”
