Tequila Xoloitzcuintle Reposado
“Nose: Cooked agave, oak, spices, citrus, oranges Flavor: Cooked agave, oak, oranges, citrus, alcohol, spices, cinnamon, honey. Finish: medium finish with a little heat from the higher proof but still a delicious Reposado. Very little on the color but more sweetness from the barrel influence than I prefer. Still solid. ”

Espolon Añejo
“This is from a AMM blind tasting Aroma: Beautiful nose, I get cooked agave , honey, cinnamon, pepper, vanilla, oak, citrus, fruits, spices, mint, grass. Flavors: my taste buds enjoyed this one, I get cooked agave, honey, oak, pepper, cinnamon, vanilla, citrus, caramel, barrel spices, butter, vegetal, fruity notes and a touch of alcohol. Finish: This is a well made anejo, medium mouth feel, but full of flavors. The agave shines, the barrel doesnt over power this just gives it the added flavors to make a great balanced anejo. Revisited this and still can't believe that I'm really enjoying this anejo, not sure if they change the way they process their product but I can definitely drink and see this. I know old-school espolon is some amazing juice. This one reminds me of something from the Camarenas, sweet agaves, not to heavy on the barrel notes. This anejo is solid and highly recommend it.”

Campo Azul 1940 Reposado
“This review is from a AMM blind tasting. Aroma: I get some cooked agave up front with a bit of oak, some pepper, cinnamon & spices Flavor: I pretty much get all the same as aromas with the agave upfront but some orange/citrus, fruit, minty and alcohol present. Finish: it's a good very light Reposado, has good aroma and flavor but very short quick finish, nothing complex or off putting. Revisited this and still enjoy this, I would recommend this for a nice easy sipper or for cocktails. ”

El Jimador Blanco Tequila
“This was from a blind tasting. Aroma: There's is a very light raw agave, sweetness, pepper, citrus, mint, herbal and flower aromas. Flavor: Very light cooked agave, citrus, vegetal, grass, orange peel but is overpowered by strong flower, herbal notes, for me has a medicinal and soap taste. Has a sweetness to it but taste artificial. Finish: its a very light tequila, no complexity, short to med finish with a lingering after taste that i wasn't a fan of. Not for me. Revisited this again and was still not a fan of it all. Wouldn't recommend, it might be ok for a cocktail but still would choose others at that price point. ”

De Los Altos Reposado
“NOM 1529 Aroma: Agave, vegetal, herbaceous, pepper, spices, citrus, oak Flavor: Cooked Agave, pepper, vegetal, pepper, citrus, mint, oak, cinnamon, orange, spices. Finish: Prefer this Reposado over the blanco, short to medium finish but full of flavors. The aging from the barrel helps this out. This is good pickup if you see this dusty at a great price. ”
