NOM 1558 | Oak fixes all blemishes it seems, this is pleasant in a whiskey way, I’d crush this in front of the fire place all night.

NOM 1414 | -tasted blind- Nicely balanced nose of caramel agave and oak - slight floral undertone. Fulfills the promise of the aroma. Straight forward and pleasant. Decent fnish.

This anjeo has a cool bottle, but the juice is average. Nose: Mildly sweet with cooked agave, medium oak, orange peel, and black pepper. Hints of cocoa, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The nose improves with some time in the glass. Taste: Light body, mild oilyness. A little sweetness that stays in the mouth. Agave, light oak, pepper and a touch of butterscotch. I wish this was a hair smoother. Finish: Athens bitterness of the oak, a slight sweetness and a peppery bite ride for a long finish.

Decent tequila. A touch too oaky for my taste, but maybe that’s what should really be expected from a barrel aged añejo…but despite the finish edging toward a bourbon or rye, I thought the flavors were nice. It was gift and probably not one I’ll seek out to buy, but I eventually finished the bottle.

Whiskey resemblance. Earthy. Nice finish.

Experienced a rye whiskey on the tongue, but not harsh. I sipped while the little lady was working around me, so might have overrated for ambiance..) Will drink again, not sure U want to risk the ambiance again, I might get a task

Strong tequila taste

NOM 1558 | The clear winner of the flight. Fairly balanced, the nose still has agave showing through the barreling. Finish is a bit 1 note but not unpleasant.

NOM 1414 | This is a very smooth tequila. I enjoy Anejos because if the oakyness and this one does not disappoint. I was poured the Anejo in a 6 oz drinking glass. Next time I will taste it in a Reidel glass. Aroma: a whiskey or vanilla sweetness is prevalent. Very enjoyable to the nose. I get a hint of agave/alcohol but no burn. Taste: sweetness on initial taste with a bit of pepper and a but of oak. Very mild and smooth. Not complex. Finish: goes down smooth, with a prominence of oak but still sweet like the continuance of vanilla but not vanilla. There is a light maybe white pepper taste with a hint of alcohol burn but does not linger very long. I truly enjoyed this Anejo tequila.
