Hollywood actor George Clooney and his business partners have expanded their Casamigos Tequila brand to include an añejo expression.
NOM 1609 | Bottle: L317801001, 2213, 17:24 Appearance: Orange honey green tea Nose: Vanilla, cream soda, cooked agave, artificial maple syrup, butter, licorice, artificial sweetener, light acetone, alcohol, oak, and cedar…not the worst, but still has defects Palate: Vanilla, alcohol, black pepper, oak, whiskey, cinnamon, barrel spice, artificial sweetener, licorice, butter, alcohol, astringent, and molasses…I lost the agave Finish: Black pepper, artificial sweetener, alcohol, astringent, and whiskey…artificially viscous and lasts way longer than I want it to Overall: So far, this is the first and only one of their expressions that actually could pass as a tequila. It was almost like playing “Where’s Waldo?” with agave. Well, I found it. The problem is, it’s still not a good tequila. This was hard to drink, but not bad enough that I felt the need to pour it out like I did with the reposado. That being said, I still won’t be buying this again.
