NOM 1137 La Cofradia Anjeo ($60 USD) presents with a beautiful bottle, a fair price whilte the tequila is just mediocre. A fun drink, but not a serious tequila if that what you are after. The nose offers up woody oak, leather, whiskey and raisin at the initial draw. Light toffee, black pepper, chestnuts, and a trace of tobacco. An enjoyable sweet start with a tinge of alcohol. The taste open with roasted agave, slightly bitter oak, black pepper and nutmeg. A honey sweetness envelopes before dark chocolate and chestnut fades in and out The finish is light and short. A sweet and bitter influences remain on the tongue.

We like it and would go visit the distillery to see it. Oh, wait, we are here! So much fun. The tequila has a great finish, that moves through the four embodiments of tequila: sadness, happiness, unconsciousness, and nakedness. Bring it on, mayahuel.
