Excellent value at $50. Consistently strong across aroma, flavor, and finish. Sweetness and caramel dominate but are not overpowering.

Conditions: calm outdoor evening, sunset, 72 degrees, resting in a Kenzie from a previously opened bottle. Appearance: shimmery pale gold, languorous uneven legs hinting at a possible thicker mouthfeel, or sugar / alcohol content. Aroma: light to medium, bright citrus and grass, carmelized and raw agave with a sweet vegetal layer as it unfolds in the glass. More time evokes warm spice and a tinge of astringency possibly from the tannins of its French oak treatment. Taste: initial: here is where the sweetness balances with a noticeable barrel feel though they seem very balanced and in harmony. Warmth of palate evokes layers of crème brûlée with Asian pear as it finishes with a lasting, rounded report reminiscent of a nicely aged cognac. The elements of champagne blending and production are apparent here which is a compelling aspect to this expression that would be appreciated by the aficionado and mixologist alike. In other words….. me likey…. Me like a whole lot! Robbo Booze Bully (Booze-bully.com) Parker, CO

Cooked agave oak pepper with roses and fruit come through in the aroma. The taste adds a sweetness of vanilla cinnamon carmel butterscotch with the citrus. The finish takes you back to the pepper which hangs around with the sweetness making it an interesting and enjoyable reposado.

Not sure why this is not rated a bit higher than it is but its a quality tequila. I get orange blossom, lemon and agave on the nose which is great. The taste is buttery agave, citrus, vanilla, and dried apricots. Very enjoyable.

A complex glass that reflects the blending process that produces this reposado. A thinner mouthfeel helps it goes down easy. It’s a solid choice at this price point.

This one surprised me at first with the aroma of vibrant orange but my second tasting it seems to disappear. Nose: The first aroma I got when I first tried this was Orange blossom and citrus the agave was present but hidden and somestone fruit notes but the following day it was completely different with lite orange citrus but fresh agave was forefront and pepper with some earthy notes. Taste: Agave subtle vanilla not overpowering and pepper, citrus and baking spices. Finish: The finish is tannic leaving a dryness on the palate from the barrel notesthat leads to the finish.

On the nose you get a nice cooked agave scent with a some light oak and fruits with a bit of funk. The palate is a good amount of sweet cooked agave, honey, caramel and spices from the oak. Finish is medium with a nice buttery and caramel and oak. This is a nice simple sipper.

Strong cooked agave and sweetness in the nose. Amazing, smooth, agave-forward taste with hints of sweet fruit and a little oak barrel influence. Mellow finish that abates nicely. Nice viscosity and mouthfeel. Excellent value 8/10.

I’m tasting the most recent batch as of early 2026 and this is a much lighter version that what I’ve seen or tasted in the past. I think I like this version because there is a lot more agave available with some pepper and a little bit of vanilla on the nose. I’m getting agave dried fruit and cinnamon on the flavor and the finish has some butter and more dried fruit. Overall, I think this is a improvement from past versions. But by the way those past versions were also great too.

I am genuinely shocked by this pour. The blanco was good but this really steps it up a notch. Aroma: 24/25 Reminds me a lot of Siete Leguas Anejo which I absolutely love. A sweet lemon vanilla oak with a cooling effect. Perfectly ripe red fruits like raspberry then start to emerge. Almost a juicy quality. I really like this nose! Palate: 27/30 The aroma follows suit on the palate. Sweet lemon vanilla oak with a juicy raspberry sitting underneath. Starting to remind me of the monte blanc fragrance Individuel in the best way possible. Finish: 22/25 The oak really starts to open up on the backend. No warmth like the blanco, more of an oak cask with some smashed up raspberries. Value: 9/10 $40 at my local liquor store. Wild value.

Medium amber in the glass, darker than many repos out these days. That could be from the combination of barrel types used. Aroma of cooked agave, caramel, cinnamon, oak and barrel spice. Flavor of cooked agave, black pepper, caramel, cinnamon, oak and a hint of butter. Medium-long finish.

Tasted along side another repo in a standard rocks glass. Agave present throughout. Interesting contrast from the nose to the flavor to the finish Nose: agave, banana bread, vanilla, walnut, strong cinnamon, Flavor: agave, oak, cooked fruits, pepper Finish: you can taste the cognac influence with more sweet cooked fruit and tobacco, on the finish and definitely when exhaling after a sip

Tough rating for me. I can’t get any aroma off it. I even poured some my hand and used it like aftershave. But still nothing! Taste is quickly barrel before a hint of agave. Finished with some pepper and burned sweetness—lightly bitter.

Taste like medicine. Not a tequila I like This was my original comment. Obviously a 70 says I did like this. I am now tasting a new lot with a different production method. This is April 2026 that I am tasting and I just received this from Volcán. The palate is agave with barrel notes of cinnamon, vanilla, oak, and caramel The palate doesn’t have that medicine taste I got in the first lot. It is alcohol forward which I think masks some of the flavors hidden below. While this one isn’t the awful 70 that I originally tasted, it also isn’t a repo that I would go back to on a regular basis.

Bottle: L122A220280, 11:49:02 1760, 26/04/2022 Appearance: Light maple syrup Nose: Oak, cinnamon, cooked agave, vanilla, butter, molasses, apple cider, nutmeg, flowers, whiskey, barrel spice, clove, anise, leather, citrus, orange, honey, black pepper, dry earth, and mint…very barrel-heavy for a reposado Palate: Oak, molasses, vanilla, cooked agave, butter, cinnamon, clove, flowers, gardenia, black currant, citrus, lemon, black tea, black pepper, butterscotch, wood shavings, oregano, peach cobbler, light smoke, and mocha…the agave is there, but the aging steals the show Finish: Oak, black pepper, oregano, flowers, and molasses…medium viscosity with a quite long, warming finish Overall: This is a hard one to describe. The initial pour felt overly oaky and unidimensional. However, after giving it some time to open up, the flavors and aromas felt more balanced and harmonious…but, still, the most notable among them very heavily favor the barrel aging process and not the base agave. It’s incredible to see how much barrel influence can be imparted in the same timeframe as, say, a lightly rested Tequila Ocho reposado. Will most likely buy this again at some point.

New batch of Repo I had to let this open up for a while Nose there is a lot of barrel notes , red fruits with some earthy minerals, not a lot of agave. Taste agave sweetness a red fruit and a little floral a little Carmel and a lot of barrel notes Finish has a nice sweetness and then tannic with a little pepper medium in length

Packed with flavor. The new oak barrels really create a lot of pop. Fruity. Honey. Smoke. Looooong finish. This repo has so much structure it might actually be a candidate for over ice.

Lote 1 Aroma: There is Cooked Agave that is surrounded by a lot of other notes. Vanilla, Oak, and Caramel certainly play their part. Pepper/Cinnamon give the spicy notes. There are also some very nice fruit notes of Orange and Dried Apricot. Vegetal notes appear as well with some herbal presence. A sweet floral aroma also makes an appearance. And at the end, there is a light Leather and Almond note that is very faint. Taste: Cooked Agave is mixing with the Orange, Cinnamon, Oak, Vanilla, and Caramel immediately. As this continues, on the palate some light Whiskey Notes immerge. More of the Dried Fruit and Almond notes. There is a very nice minerality to this as well. Some of the Vegetal notes mixing with Anise and other Herbs meet at the mid-palate of the pour. All of this has a butter like feel on the tongue. Finish: Lots of Spicy Cooked Agave with the Vanilla and Oaky notes finishing off thisfor a long ride out. Salud!!! 2026 Bottling What an improvement! Aroma: Earthy Agave, Oak, Citrus(Lemon), Mint, Vanilla Green Apples, Walnut, Honey, Banana Taste: French Oak forward. Cooked Agave, Banana Bread, Vanilla, Honey, Vrape Must, Caramel, Slight Pepper.

10 Great Additive-Free Repos You Need To Try

While aficionados tend to prefer blanco tequilas, and imbibers of dark spirits usually gravitate towards añejos, the reposado category is often overlooked.
