Nose: sweet vanilla, grass, earth and cooked agave. Great mouthfeel - buttery, coats the entire mouth nicely. Sweet baked agave, melon, Black pepper lingering peppery finish
The aroma opens warmly with inviting cooked agave, enveloped in a strong vegetal essence. A hint of alcohol is softened by delicate honey, lending a touch of sweetness that enhances its minerality, watery freshness, and a faint, peppery undertone. On the palate, the cooked agave takes center stage, complemented by a touch of brine and the rich depth of purple plum. A toasty, almost bready yeast flavor follows, bringing warmth reminiscent of honeydew, bright citrus, and a subtle touch of alcohol. Layers of prominent hay, smooth butter, light cinnamon, and a tang from pitted fruits round out the experience with piquant depth. The finish lingers gracefully, with minerality interwoven with soft sweetness, grassy hay, a hint of pepper, and a lasting touch of brine that leaves a refreshing, earthy impression.
Plenty of agave with citrus and a melon flavor. Also vegetal and mint it's very nice.
I can’t remember the last time I finished a bottle so fast! Well my father in law helped. Lots of agave, citrus, minerals, and pepper. I put smell and taste on the bottom half of excellent, finish on the high side of good and the price and availability is excellent. All of these great elements come in without too much of a bite, making it very easy to drink. Well done!
Solid blanco. Very floral and fruit forward. First words after the initial sip were “very fruity”…Subtle notes of honey, cinnamon and black pepper.
I get a nose of cooked agave and raw agave. It smells of minerals, citrus and earth. The taste is sweet cooked agave with olive and brine. I also get earth. It has a buttery mouthfeel with a nice finish
Nose: agave / pepper / banana/ orange peel / lemongrass / fruit / Taste: agave sweet/ pepper / hint of fruitiness / apple / mint / floral / Finish: a very light sweet and pepper taste that rolls into a a slightly bittersweet agave sweetness/ nice mouthfeel with a hint of mineral rainwater This tequila has some notes other than barrel taste/ …the vanilla is a bit over the top !
I get a little bit of mint brine and funk on the nose. cooked agave comes through with some orange and vanilla. The taste and finish seem true to the nose with the addition of a little more agave hints of vanilla and nutmeg. I enjoyed this one!
Citrus, yeast, brine, agave, peppers some funk. A good offering from Alma del Jaguar.
Strange nose, odd palate. Not for me. Very unique.
Osito’s Tap
Nose: cooked agave, olive brine, floral, light citrus, and earth Flavor: cooked agave sweetness, white pepper, tropical fruit, green mango, brininess, buttery mouth feel Finish: long starts with agave sweetness and finishes with white pepper spice
Nose- nice cooked agave, loads of cinnamon and banking spices, minerality, citrus like lime zest or rind Taste- agave, anise, citrus, little tangerine type sweetness at the end.
Sept 3, 2023 1 oz sample Nose very nice vegetal smoke agave mint brine a little alcohol which dissipates as it opens up. Palate good Finish lingering warmth which I like Nice legs
Another unique profile from the master Sergio Cruz! The nose is clean, pepper, cooked agave, bell pepper, and some citrus. On the palate it’s really nice. Rich mouthfeel, agave, pepper, and some citrus.
Super light neutral start, punch of roasted agave in the middle, and strong minerals + pepper on the back end.
Clean clear look, short legs, strong agave notes and citric on the nose. Flavor is cooked agave, earthy and mineral notes mixed with the agave and citrus. Medium finish with negligible burn. This may get the “smooth” label. No additives detected in the touch test. Solid tequila.
Love this old school flavor Blanco. Notes of white pepper and citrus with a clean and balanced finish. Lots of character in this bottle. A slight tint in color. A definite buy
Nose: Cooked agave, minerals, lime, mint, olive, brine, hay, lemongrass, and a hint of almond. Flavor: Light viscosity, black pepper, salt, brine, cooked agave is there, nice balance, sweetness with some significant citrus. Finish: A pleasant lingering heat that dissipates beautifully Very well made Blanco! Great job.
Really delicious, I've upgraded even higher, since my recent video review. Very unique and a very well made blanco
On the nose: best way I can describe it bright and clean. Strong agave and citrus odors. On the palate, more of the same. Cooked agave and citrus notes. Some floral tones as well. Light and refreshing, easy to drink. Just complex enough to make you think. Finish is about prefect, just long enough to remind you, not so long it gets old. Hint of black pepper just to bring it up a notch. Overall, this is an outstanding blanco.
soft and vegetal with a bit of citrus throughout and a touch of pepper in the finish.
Scent is hopeful, giving only a quality aire and no distractions; the raw taste is a little more complicated where it is first good then issues a small concern of a medical hint and then ends with this fleeting lingering earthy taste; in the margarita it blends in well so that anything of concern disappears to leave you with a good drink; there is something missing about the taste like a flavor that never arrives or a sneeze that almost happened.
Nose: not getting much. Minerals. Spring water Taste: brine. Perfumed leather. Earth. Finish: quick but a slight lingering pepper/mineral edge

Really good overall. Excellent mouth feel. Aroma is a bit subdued, but still good with lots of agave and some pepper. But very light. The taste jumps out very green with roasted carrots, sweet agave, and even some light jalapeño. It finishes, sweet and warm and really good.
