Elegant tequila with a unique flavor due to the Apple Brandy barrel influence. I’d love to compare the series to see which one I prefer. The Apple Brandy barrel person has a sweet profile with a slight oak bitterness finish.
ADJ anejo Sample from Matt Cavanaugh Agave Swappers a nice balance of barrel notes spices and sweet agave very easy sipper
Really good overall. Excellent mouth feel. Aroma is a bit subdued, but still good with lots of agave and some pepper. But very light. The taste jumps out very green with roasted carrots, sweet agave, and even some light jalapeño. It finishes, sweet and warm and really good.
Another banger from Sergio! N- blasts of agave, brine, hay, white pepper, funk, and citrus T- amplified agave and minty herbs, malo funk, olive, anise, and just enough ethanol to remember it's 101 proof. MF- thin and oily goodness F- long spicy finish V- $70 in Michigan so a decent value considering how good this high proof sipper drinks
Regular Anejo Sampled at Starved Rock Tequila Fest. 85 Gold Eagle French Oak single barrel - 87
High-proof tequilas, once only for hardcore drinkers, are now being released at a steady pace. Why?
Forget Cristalinos and embrace some real agave innovation.
