Aroma is light and good with berry cream and some agave. Taste is good with wood, pepper, butter and light caramel and some agave in the background. Finish lingers with a bit of heat and pepper. I like it.
Nose is cooked agave, vanilla and caramel. Taste is cooked agave, vanilla, banana and a hint of pepper. This is a decent Reposado from NOM1414. The glass was a Chisholm Standard Proof Jarrito.
One of my favorite reposado!! Great aroma of cooked agave an amazing flavor of cooked agave with a great peppery spicy finish!
Very solid reposado. More wood than I would like in this class but worth trying.
Cinnamon, honey, vanilla, agave, some white wine notes. A tasty Reposado, much and more to enjoy here.
Nose: agave / sweetness / flowers /pear / berries / orange blossom Taste: cooked agave / pepper/ oak / earth / vanilla/ pineapple / pear / orange / honey /wood Finish: very clean quick finish / some bitter notes / fruit / floral Just like a Jaguar this expression leaps on you with aromas and tastes that let it taste well above its price point. Good value, yes….but this is more terrific juice coming out of NOM 1414 / Sergio Cruz.
cherry brown sugar and sweet agave on the nose. I get oak almond brown sugar and cinnamon on the finish. Vanilla seems to come through in waves. it's absolutely delightful sweet and rich but has a very light mouthful that I look for in a Repo. This might be one of my favorite repos!
I remember the day I first tasted this repo. I was visiting a liquor store in Texas and the owner asked if I wanted to taste it. Even out of a little plastic cup I knew right away this was one for me. I bought the bottle and here are my findings. The nose is bright and forward with cooked agave, vanilla and caramel. Some fruits were also discernible. On the palate we have a nice sweet presence of agave. Barrel influences bring vanilla and cinnamon and caramel. Other tastes I get are honey and baking spices. A very nice reposado that goes down easy and disappears too quickly.
Aroma: This is a very different sensation! The nose is filled with an onslaught of Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Oak and Agave. There's also a Honeyed Citrus note that is very nice. Cinnamon is present. The more it opens up, the more you can pick up a Banana Pudding! It's definetly banana and definetly creamy!!! It's a dessert of smells!!! Taste: You're met with Light Pepper and Agave. Once you get past that, the Vanilla Banana Pudding comes out. It's creamy in the mouth! The Salted Caramel and Cinnamon are also very present. There's a vegetal tone mixed with the Honeyed Citrus. This reminds me of a few Irish Whiskeys I've had. And in the end, this will remind you of dessert after a nice dinner... This is a very different style of Reposado. I really like that it's not like many other Reposados. If Tullermore Dew made a tequila, this might be the profile they'd go for. This wouldn't be a great pour if you were looking for any of the blanco. But if you're the adventurous type, this would be right up your alley! TMM 87 for me! Salud!!!
LOTE AJREP2330 Bottled 12/06/23 Another 1414 easy sipper. On the sweeter side from the french oak. Oak, vanilla, agave and cinammon. Tasty.
Sweet but yet balanced cooked agave, light citrus and spice. Very nice finish
Very nice repo. Nose- cooked agave, fruit, cinnamon, oak , minerality Taste- cooked agave, minerality, cinnamon, anise, good, caramel, little vanilla bit of oak. Very nice.
Sept 2, 2023 1 oz sample Nose brown sugar vanilla barrel notes, whisky. I really like the nose a lot! Palate oak but not an oak bomb, some agave barrel spices. I enjoy the palate Finish is short
Really nice reposado. It’s delicious. Packed with cooked agave sweetness, butterscotch, and cinnamon. A little bit one-dimensional, but that dimension is very well-done.
Sweet nose on this one. Nice barrel with some agave. Easy palate and finish on this one. I enjoyed it.

Nose: Beautiful nose! Barrel aroma as strong is an XA. Oak, vanilla, cooked agave, and caramel. Strikes me as a very good balance between the American and French oak barrels. Palate: The palates seems to be heavily dominated by the American barrel. Definitely less of a Reposado influence and more like an Añejo type of expression The flavors that strike the palate are vanilla, pepper and whiskey. Finish: Medium to light viscosity. Quick and uneventful finish, with a very light pinch of heat about 15 seconds after completed.
Just okay for me…. Soft nose, silky mouthfeel and long, oily finish. A bit bitter citrus slant on my tongue.
Great smooth balanced finish. Cooked agave and a bit oaky. But the flavors just meld together beautifully. A definite recommend from me. Great value when you can pay less than 60 for a bottle that tastes like this.
I get why everyone likes this. It’s very balanced and reasonably priced for a 1414 offering. Nice agave is tempered by spic and barrel, but not so much that it pushes things to far towards a whiskey flavor. I bought this along with a bottle of Lost Lore repo and found them quite similar. Both are very nice but this gets a slightly higher mark for value. While there are a few other tequilas that appeal to me more at a similar price point, I’d never be unhappy having to “settle” for this if those aren’t available. Don’t be afraid to go for this one.
bold flavor, similar to G4. nice mouth feel, agave, Carmel and vanilla from barrel. very nice repo
Nose is agave forward with strong, but not harsh, alcohol. Smooth and remarkably even mouthfeel given the nose. Numbs the tongue with flavors happening at the roof. Only faintly oaky and hints vanilla. Everything about this tequila is subtle. Somewhat difficult to sum up besides really satisfying. Nest is the way to go. Oh, and they actually care about the way this tequila is produced and caring for the land and the animals upon it. That matters.
On the nose, sensing cooked agave, vanilla, honey, a bit of baking spice, and a bit of smoke. Similar palate. The finish is buttery without being oily. Overall a great product with a great cause. Will be keeping this & the Anejo restocked in my personal cabinet.

I’m a fan of Alma Del Jaguar Blanco and expected to love this Reposado. I found it a little disappointing. I get some funk. It’s still good but not what I expected.
