Another banger from Sergio! N- blasts of agave, brine, hay, white pepper, funk, and citrus T- amplified agave and minty herbs, malo funk, olive, anise, and just enough ethanol to remember it's 101 proof. MF- thin and oily goodness F- long spicy finish V- $70 in Michigan so a decent value considering how good this high proof sipper drinks
Great surprise of the blind tonight! Thanks Dustin! So great. Aroma leads the way with great roast agave sweetness and some lite mineral goodness. Finish is wonderful. Have this at your bar!
Agave, pepper and citrus on the nose. Sweet agave, white pepper, minerals and anise with a nice finish. Great addition to the line!
Nose: Off the bat I get a fresh mix of cooked and raw agave, with a hint of fresh cut grass, earthiness, and spicy black pepper. There’s also a bright streak of lemongrass running through it, keeping things lively. It’s layered and balanced without feeling like it’s trying too hard - just really well put together. Palate and Mouthfeel: The texture is gorgeous! It’s oily, rich, and coats the mouth beautifully. Sweet cooked agave, backed by a buttery kind of sweetness that reminds me a little of ripe papaya. Then the classic peppery heat kicks in - it’s bold but not overwhelming and it gives it that high proof punch I adore. There’s a cool, peppermint like freshness that sneaks in mid-palate, along with a little earthy backbone, but overall it’s a perfect back and forth between sweet, spicy, and herbaceous flavors. Finish: The finish is long, spicy, and bright. A vivid, energetic close that keeps you coming back for another sip. Final Thoughts: This one doesn’t overcomplicate things. It’s a straightforward, top quality pour. It’s vibrant, delicious, and an absolute pleasure to sip.
There is a lot going on with this one with lots of little subtleties of different aromas and flavors. With the exception of this being very agave, citrus and cinnamon forward high proof. Once those fade you get a lot of other notes that make their way in. Nose: cooked agave, orange citrus, cinnamon, black pepper, anise, minerals, vegetal, and herbal. Palate: cooked agave, citrus, cinnamon, black pepper, anise, mint, minerals, vegetal, and herbal. For being a high proof, this one has little to no heat behind it. Let it open up for about 15 minutes to let all of those notes come into play and enjoy.

Love this. Lots of minerality, oily citrus pepper mint and a little smoke. Great overproof for the price.
Nose is cooked agave, citrus, pepper and minerals. Taste is cooked agave, pepper, mint and minerals. The glass was a Chisholm High Proof Jarrito.
• Visual: Clear w/ very thin clear edge • Initial Nasal Impact: Slightly warming • Aroma: Lime citrus, cooked agave, floral, pepper, wintergreen mint, vanilla. Light aroma • Mouthfeel: Oily w/ sufficient alcohol • Flavor: Pepper, lime, honey, wintergreen mint, vanilla, cinnamon, cucumber • Finish: Mint hits on the retro nasal along with pepper and cucumber during long finish. A very drinkable HP blanco
Good, not o. Top of my list of HP
Nice pearls on the pour. Nose is ethanol, earth, and agave. A bit hot in the mouth this must be higher in proof than several of the previous samples. This is nicely balanced between nose, taste and finish with more acidity than the rest of the samples. Long finish…I like it.
Blind: Grassy and earthy. Will have to revisit. Sweeter and rounder the next time I tried. Upgrading score.
A very nice HP, cinnamon, mint, herbal notes. A nice punch of sweet cooked agave.
Probably right now my favorite high-proof. On the nose a lot of agave a great intense smell almost like I’m standing just at the side of the brick oven . Also a lot of mineral vegetal earth. The flavor and agave bomb with a lot spice maybe cinnamon with some jalapeño. The finishes long spicy and delicious . Amazing proof tequila worth the wait!
Excellent aroma. Big agave and not too punchy, though on a deep sniff it intensifies nicely. Grass, minerals, excellent. Excellent flavor. Agave, green, mint. The finish is long and clean. Minty agave is giving me an eye opening, mouth breathing happy ending.
An excellent high proof blanco! Tons of cooked agave sweetness that really jumps out from the start. Hints of mint, herbs, licorice and honey. Definitely recommend if you like high proofs!
Nose: Chock full of Agave, Anise, Citrus, White Pepper, some vegetal notes and a bit of minerality. Did I mention LOTS of cooked agave?! Mouthfeel: Full bodied and buttery Taste and finish: Sweet cooked agave The finish has more Anise, Black pepper and minerality but I have to mention again, that cooked agave REALLY comes on powerful on this one. Possibly a little mint on the very tip of the back end of the finish. Loved it!
Grassy note and a lot of earth / vegetal on the palate with a strong pepper finish. Not bad but don’t love it
Tasted at vivanco rudys bday trip april 2023 notes: Still strength 50.5 Fruit in low nose Nice sweet, easy to sip. Doesn't drink like 50.5 rated 88 pts will revisit and update notes 10/2024 tried as part of TMM blind high-proof tasting. rated 90 pts. adjusting my rating to 89 (avg between my 2 tastings)
I do enjoy this high proof blanco from ADJ, agave foward with some citrus, grassy notes. A little heat but mellows after it airs. Spring 2024 I would give it an edge over the Fall 24 but still recommend.
Clean agave nose, sweet ok the palate but hot, medium finish.
Nose - cooked agave, citrus, grapefruit, orange alcohol, brine Palette- Agave, black pepper, brine, citrus, anise Finish - cooked agave, anise, pepper
Lot 1 and Lot 2 score equally IMO
Bottle: AJBC03422 212759, 31/05/24, 09:48 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked agave, herbal, eucalyptus, spearmint, basil, lemongrass, anise, citrus, orange, grapefruit, lemon, cinnamon, white pepper, honey, brine/salinity, vegetal, cucumber, bell pepper, alcohol, and subtle smoke…the herbal notes are center stage Palate: Cooked and raw agave, herbal, spearmint, basil, anise, eucalyptus, citrus, grapefruit, black and white pepper, olive, brine/salinity, licorice, cinnamon, melon, orange peel, vegetal, bell pepper, and subtle smoke…less sweet and more savory than the nose Finish: Cooked agave, cinnamon, brine/salinity, licorice, alcohol, and a touch of smoke…long, great viscosity, and warming Overall: Wow, I really enjoyed this. Herbal high proofs are definitely up my alley, not to mention the mild smokiness in the background that was talking dirty to me. I was a little upset that the bottle had a small leak because of the cork coming loose during shipping, but the tequila made me forget about it quickly and it doesn’t seem to have affected it at all.

Aroma: 22/25 A sweet butter ripe cooked agave with a surprising amount of heft. Mild caramel and vanilla. Dried cherry with herbal hints. Grapefruit. Palate: 27/30 Smooth texture with a gentle butter presence. Sweet cut grass with agave. The agave takes a somewhat backseat and doesn’t hit until the mid palate. Peppermint, herbs, celery, and black tea on the back end. PEPPER Finish: 21/25 Spicy white pepper. Medium length with mild ethanol heat at the very end. Value: 8/10 $55 in San Francisco (K&L).
