“ Nose: Toffee, Vanilla, Pear, Nutmeg, Minerality, Oak, Cinnamon Palate: Carmel, Banana, Pepper, Barrel Notes, butter Finish: Carmel, Vanillla, Butter, Oak, Banana This is a good tequila. It checks all the boxes but also doesn't particularly blow me away. The finish was a bit short and there was a banana not that wasnt my favorite. All and all, this is a solid choice! ”

“The 10/10 on value really have this one a bit of a boost, but I think its fantastic either way! Nose: Sweet Melon, Citrus, Vegetal, Anise, Floral, Limestone, Pepper Palate: Agave, Brine, Grass, Anise, Grapefruit, Minerality Finish: Anise, Fruit (tropical), Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Cooked Agave, some heat This is a solid staple that has no reason not to be in anyone's arsenal. The fruity flavors in this make it a great sipper and something that is not bad, but could be divisive in certain cocktails as a mixer. Overall, this is my favorite Zumbador release to date! ”

“Nose: Dried Apricot, Carmel, Butter Palate: Pepper, Oak, Nutmeg Finish: Carmel, Oak, Cinnamon, Raisin This was gifted to me by the brand. While I appreciate what they came out with, it was a bit overpowering for my palate, compared to what I normally go for. I could see a bourbon lover enjoying this a bit more. ”

“Agave, Citrus, Pepper, Floral, Brine and Earth all the way through, with a bit more citrus on the finish. This one is criminally easy to sip!”

“Glass: Glencairn Nose: Minerality, citrus, Honeysuckle, cooked agave Palate: Fruity, floral, spearmint Finish: Floral, pepper, fruity, citrus, spearmint Final Notes: There’s a distinct chalky minerality throughout, reminiscent of the smell of a chlorinated pool—that chlorine-mineral combination. This one brought that out in a memorable way. This morphs from mineral dominate nose to fruity, floral finish. I'm definitely enjoying what 1414 is doing with the Tahona. ”

“Glass: Glencairn Nose: Lime, minerality, pepper, earth, olive, hay, grass, salt Palate: Fruity, herbal, pepper, limestone Finish: Herbal, minerality, citrus, brine, faint cinnamon In done ways, this release echoes the 2018 edition, but it’s evolved and made it's own way with Valley agaves this time. The lactic note has toned down significantly, and cinnamon takes a step back. In contrast, the minerality is a bit more pronounced, as is the citrus. The herbal notes remain steady, but overall, this version leans more into those crisp mineral and citrus touches.”

“Due to my involvement in a campaign with these folks, I withheld my review a bit longer as to not influence anyone else. Nose: Eucalyptus, Chamomile, Citrus, Cashew Palate: Pepper, Grass, Lime, Eucalyptus Finish: Eucalyptus, Pine nuts, Earth This is one of those things; you've got a polarizing spirit here. That Eucalyptus is not going to work for everyone. In this case, Eucalyptus is grown nearby and it definitely has an influence on the open-air fermentation. You're gonna have folks that love that and folks who hate that. The story of what happened during the cooking process (with the oven shut off and then subsequently cook the agaves for over 65 hours) is a unique one that makes this expression even more unique. The price point will definitely be a non-starter for some but I was happy to be able to try it and greatful of the brand for sending me a bottle. They will have more projects in the near future with the same PX casks that were used on the cascahuin House of Rare and 55-25 releases. This brand will most certainly be on my radar. ”

“Vessel: Glencairn glass Nose: agave, oak, butter, butterscotch cinnamon, baking spices Palate: vanilla, oak, cinnamon, toffee, dried fruit, barrel notes Finish: toffee, butter, agave, barrel spice I tried this number 9 Anejo and the number 9 XA tonight in the same evening. In comparison, this one seems to hit the sweet spot on the barrel notes for me. This is a win!”

“Pepper, Oak, Barrel Spice, Vanilla, Toffee, Honey, Tobacco.. It's all there. Barrel forward is what you might be expecting from any XA but this seems a more on the extreme level of the spectrum. It's intense and complex, but perhaps a a bit Barrel forward for my personal taste. ”

“Glass: Glencairn Nose: Vanilla, oak, maple, caramel, butterscotch, honey, butter, and cherry. Palate: Cinnamon, oak, nutmeg, pepper, almond, and coconut. Finish: Butterscotch, oak, cinnamon, vanilla, and macadamia nut. It’s a delicious pour; layered with a smooth transition into a sweeter, nuttier finish. Just a supremely solid sip all around, this won't me over more than I thought it would gor a number 7 (40%) offering. ”

“This one is very special. I was one of the first to have Mosto Reposado when I was gifted a bottle on my visit to Nom 1580. I thought the repo was decent.. then I tried the regular strength blanco and was somewhat underwhelmed with it. This high proof absolutely caught me off guard given what I expected.. it simply checks all the boxes. Herbal and Vegetal on the nose, Pepper and sweet agave on the nose and minerality and pepper on the finish. This one really hits the mark. For me, this is where I see Mosto making good on anything that fell short of top tier in the past. Keep it up!”

“Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Cinnamon, leather, butter, earthy notes, nuttiness, floral, and vibrant cooked agave. Palate: Honey, cinnamon butter, herbal notes, coriander, and white pepper. Finish: Medium finish with lingering cinnamon, dried fruit, and coriander. Overall Impression: A balanced reposado with a nice harmony between sweetness and spice. The honey and cinnamon butter give it warmth while the coriander and white pepper bring a pleasant herbal spice that carries. I really enjoyed the lack of oak in this; it felt like that allowed other characteristics to really have their moment”
