Nose: A pleasant and inviting aroma leads with cooked agave at the forefront, complemented by soft caramel sweetness and a dusting of black pepper. There’s a distinct minerality that adds a grounded character, and a subtle note of green bell pepper brings a vegetal freshness to the mix. Palate & Mouthfeel: On the palate, the texture is light and somewhat thin, but not lacking in clarity. The flavor opens with cooked agave and a sharp black pepper bite, mellowed by honey, cinnamon, and a touch of caramel. There’s a gentle influence of oak and noticeable vanilla, suggesting light aging. An underlying herbal quality lingers, adding complexity without overpowering. Finish: The finish is long and evolves slowly, showcasing lingering agave, pepper, and vanilla, with a final lift of citrus zest that brightens the tail end. Final Thoughts: This tequila is enjoyable. It’s well balanced and flavorful, but didn’t quite hit the mark for me today. To be fair, I’m tasting it with a cut on the roof of my mouth, which may be dulling some of the nuance and mouthfeel. I’ll definitely revisit under better conditions to give it a fairer assessment.
Batch 001 | Nice spice on the palate along with agave sweetness. Barrel spice in the mouth and the nose reminds me of some recent El Tesoro single barrel releases. The 46% is an added bonus.
Batch 001 | Cooked agave is front and center, vegetal nose with minerals and cinnamon. Agave, cinnamon and light vanilla. Viscous with a great lingering agave finish
Batch 001 | Tasted this after having Lost Lore high proof reposado. This was slightly thinner with more pronounced vanilla and chocolate and better aroma. Both are solid choices though.
Batch 001 | Siembra Alteño batch 1 Agave bomb delicious! Caramel vanilla yummy Light barrel influences 90 pts!!!
Batch 001 | Nose: Agave, Dried Cherries, Almond, Cinnamon, Banana Palate: Grass, Agave, Anise, Thyme Finish: Caramel, Anise, Thyme, Cooked Agave
Batch 001 | visual: light straw initial nasal impact: slight prickle aroma:
Caramel flan, pomegranate, orange, cinnamon
Batch 001 | Batch 001: Nice nose of agave and maple. Caramel and vanilla. Light barrel spices and very light oak. On the palate this is delicious. Sweet agave and cinnamon. Barrel spices and light pepper. Butterscotch. Great mouthfeel and finish. I highly recommend this one.
Just a taste, but I prefer the Reposado to the Blanco
Batch 001 | A beautiful reposado with barrel spices, light pepper, caramel and maple notes. Let it open up and enjoy.
Batch 001 | Nose: Agave, oak, vanilla, maple, and minerals Palate: This repo is extremely balanced. Wow! Agave, oak, butterscotch, and caramel. This is just delicious Finish: Very light pepper rolls off the tongue. This is a treat and is dangerously easy to sip! Great work
Batch 001 | Wow wow wow so silky on the mouthfeel with caramel, agave, and nice light citrus and pepper
Batch 001 | Received from Agave Swappers Aroma: agave, very light barrel notes (cinnamon, clove), apple Taste: very light and refreshing. Agave presence is still strong. I also picked up some vanilla, anise, and pepper. Not sure on how long it was aged for, but I think they nailed it. Finish: short to medium, and quite pleasant. Overall: loving the Siembra Alteno lineup. I’ll definitely add this bottle to the collection when I see it.
Batch 001 | Last of the Siembra products I bought (for now) and I have to say this could end up being my fav. Obv comparing different expressions is apples to oranges but I think p4p this one wins slightly above the Azul Añejo and the Valles Blanco. Sweet, balanced aroma with caramel and citrus with hints of oak and cinnamon. This carries over to the flavor along with that classic alteño pepper flavor I remember certain el Tesoro and Tapatio expressions that I’ve tried have as well. Really nice finish too and for $60 a great value buy as well.
Agave swap Batch 001 Nose: barrel char, wood, cooked agave, vanilla Taste: cooked agave, barrel spice, citrus, mint, caramel Finish: cooked agave, mint, wood, caramel, vanilla The blancos profile comes thru in the finish and the barrel influence really complements the flavor profile so well
Batch 001 | Sweet cooked agave with cinnamon and hint of caramel on the nose - very anejo-ish Balanced cooked agave with barrel, and a later spice & pepper Thick mouth feel with along finish
Batch 001 | This was unexpected for me. The nutty burnt vanilla profile yet clearly not far from the blanco agave freshness citrus and then the clean long agave finish was amazing. One of my favs reposado
Batch 001 | phenomenal Reposado! nose of agave and plenty of citrus reminiscent of the Blanco. add to it vanilla, toasted marshmallow, cinnamon. all that carries over to the palate. the agave is the star of the show but so many warm, comforting barrel notes. a light pleasant bitterness on the finish that keeps me craving the next sip. this is fine tequila making and an excellent representation of all a repo should be.
Batch 001 | Aroma: Loads of Sweet Cooked Agave mixing with Citrus and Vanilla come right at you! As the continues to open in the glass the Caramel and Oak are accompanied by a slight Maple scent and Sweet Cinnamon. The Minerality of La Ateña is definitely on full display! This also has a nice Earthiness too, but more sweet ground over a musty note. A light Floral note enters towards the end along with a Mint. Taste: The taste mirrors the Aroma, but with the addition of the Oak blending harmoniously with the Sweet Cooked Agave, Citrus, and Vanilla. Tropical Fruit flavor does abound with notes of Papaya and Guava. Black Pepper and Cinnamon give a nice tickle on the tongue. There is a nice rich Toffee Caramel touch to this as well. A light touch of Herbal and Anise give this a great balance! Finish: Rich Sweet Agave, Citrus, Vanilla along with the Black Pepper give this a nice long balanced finish! TMM—90 Salud!
Such an easy pour. The tasting notes are subtle but clean. There’s nothing to get in the way of this simple well made tequila. Hints of light caramel and distant citrus interplay with every sip. There is no heat so the sip is smooth.
Batch 001 | Nice aroma of tropical fruits. Picking up a little smoke on the nose. The cooked agave shines through. This is packed with flavor. The agave is excellent. Nice sweet fruit flavor. The barrel notes are not overpowering. Has a great finish. This is one of the repos I’ve had.
Batch 001 | Tried at Taco Mucho 3/1/25. Has some alcohol on the along with some vanilla and cinnamon. Very nice taste with lots of sweet agave and light barrel influence. Tasty but I do prefer the blanco by a very small amount.
Batch 001 | 1/27/25; Batch 001: light agave, vanilla on the nose; almond, light citrus, minerality on the front; light spice, pepper across the back of palate; at $90USD, this is a decent deal; at $75, this would have a great deal;

On the nose, earthy and citrusy agave, with a lovely minerality. Added herbal notes of basil are also present, with some faint hints of clove, allspice, black pepper, and a touch of oak. The flavor consists of a very earthy hit of vegetal cooked agave, cinnamon, with some light notes of anise, allspice, and a very light oak sweetness. The finish leaves behind sweet agave notes, mixed with a hit of black pepper, damp earth, cinnamon, allspice, and sage.
