Wow! This is now one of my favorite Blancos of all time! Super oily and explosion of agave. Peppermint candy (but not over sweet) and lite pepper. Wow again! Finish is long and sensational!
On the nose, earthy and citrusy agave, with a lovely minerality. Added herbal notes of basil are also present, with some faint hints of clove, allspice, black pepper, and a touch of oak. The flavor consists of a very earthy hit of vegetal cooked agave, cinnamon, with some light notes of anise, allspice, and a very light oak sweetness. The finish leaves behind sweet agave notes, mixed with a hit of black pepper, damp earth, cinnamon, allspice, and sage.
On the nose, bright and full of citrus, with a sweet lime juice aroma. A really vibrant aroma that showcases pepper, sage, celery, agave, a light cinnamon, layered over a pleasant minerality. The flavor is a classic, agave forward tequila profile, with citrus and vegetal notes carrying through into a lovely sweetness coupled with some hints of peppery celery. Progressing into the finish, the flavors become even more vegetal, with long lasting notes of sage, celery, citrus, black pepper, and a bit of agave sweetness.
Nose: From the first swirl, cooked and raw agave come through, anchored by an earthy note that’s somewhere between damp soil and sunbaked clay. It leans green, like fresh cut nopales or green stems crushed in your hands. Bright citrus peeks through, along with a crack of black pepper and a faint salty edge that keeps it all lifted. Palate & Mouthfeel: The texture is generous - it really settles into the palate without being heavy. Sweet agave leads the way, but then there’s this sharp snap of chile heat that hits quickly and fades just as fast. As it pulls back, other flavors step in: citrus rind, a touch of cinnamon, earthiness, and a mellow note that reminds me of butterscotch. The pepper hangs in the background, like it’s keeping everything in check. Finish: It wraps up sweet, gently spiced, then suddenly you get this bright tingle that sticks around. Just when you think it’s gone, there’s this peppery aftertaste that lingers like a final word. Final Thoughts: The nose had me thinking it’d be on the lighter side, but it really opens up once you sip it. Each layer unfolds at its own pace, and it keeps me curious with every taste. It’s a little bold and just flat out enjoyable.
