This is a delicious balance between sweet agave depth and bold green tones. Minerality and brine open the aroma with clarity, joined by a soft, non-stinging ethyl presence and a clean sweep of sweet cooked agave. It’s aromatically direct and focused: no nuances. On the palate, cooked agave makes an immediate and confident entrance before easing into generous anise, cinnamon, petrichor, and a succulent thread of wintergreen. Lemon citrus brightens the profile, while a sharp green tone, reminiscent of bitter, fresh-cut vegetables, adds contrast. The high-proof ethyl finally shows its edge here, delivering a firm bite that pairs naturally with the underlying salinity. The finish is exceptional in its length and presence: a tingle of pepper, enduring petrichor that clings tightly to the palate, a persistent grassy sour-green note, and fading anise trailing behind soft threads of salinity. Bravo.
Wow! This is now one of my favorite Blancos of all time! Super oily and explosion of agave. Peppermint candy (but not over sweet) and lite pepper. Wow again! Finish is long and sensational!
