Such a unique Anejo. Double barreled, recorded with the CRT, total of 21 months, rested in used bourbon barrel, the liquid was transferred into a red wine barrel for additional aging. 43 ABV, has the cooked agaves showing through and through, with some amazing barrel notes from each barrel. You get cherry and dried fruit notes along with some light sweetness. The finish lingers

I really enjoyed this bottle. It has a unique funk on the nose that draws me in. Tasting it has a strong cherry note that I love. Overall it's very different from the average tequila and a must try.

One way to approach this double-barrel aged single barrel is to let it open up in the glass. Take it slow. Small sips. Let the layers show themselves. This NYNJ Agave Club pick was selected for the New York market, but honestly no matter where you are on the planet, this one won’t last long in the glass.
