Half bottle: The aroma is straightforward cooked agave intertwined with anise, cinnamon, and bright lemon citrus, all touched by a faint astringency. On the palate, the same focused notes carries over with cooked agave taking center stage, accented by cinnamon warmth, zesty citrus, minute salinity and a minuscule floral lift. A gentle astringency is noted without distraction. Though simple in composition, this blanco is undeniably agave-forward, clean, and delectable once given a a day or two to aerate. I didn’t expect much from this blanco and it over-delivered.
This tequila is super thick, heavy, oily in the mouth. Aroma is cooked agave and cinnamon, which I like. Flavor is a bit muted due to the thickness in the mouth.
Cooked agave, citrus, pepper, celery and some vegetal notes. Green agave in the background. Short to medium finish. An above average Spirits Direct brand from Total Wine for around $40
