Tasted Blind for Agavos Nose makes me think of walking through a flower and citrus tree garden. Aromas of sweet cooked agave, brine, tulips, lime, cinnamon, olive, pear, pepper and cedar. Taste is pleasant and not super complex. Notes of sweet agave, citrus, brine, pepper, wintergreen, black tea and olive. Mouthfeel is a bit watery. Finish has a decent length with notes of honey, pepper and citrus peel. This is a great high proof. Even for not being super complex it hits all the right marks.
The most reliable agave awards, with blind judging, praised these tequilas.
[Rated blind during the 2026 Agavos Awards] Lots of good stuff going on in this aroma. Hay (agave fiber), heavy licorice, agave, pepper, fruit, vanilla, snickerdoodle, and a minor bit if fermentation funk on the bottom end. Nice job. Flavor is licorice, agave, vanilla and butter. Extremely thick mouthfeel. The fermentation on this was handled perfectly.
