I think some complexity got lost from the reposado to the añejo. This was aged 18 months total. 12 more than the repo. Seems like that was too much for my liking. The agave and earthiness and grassy notes are all but gone. It’s still a nice añejo. I found the barrel notes not overdone it still clean and balance just without some of the punchiness that’s in the blanco and repo.
