“Not sure what it is, but this stuff, along with the associated reposado, have never agreed with me. Not only is the quality sub par, but I always start getting a headache as I'm drinking this (even more so as the night progresses or next morning). This is only after having one or two (never made it past two in an evening with this stuff; it's just not that good). My wife likes the look of the bottle, so she kept buying it for me until I told her to stop. It's easy to find, so I'd like to like it, but it's just not good. ”

“Candidly, this is not good. It's pretty bad. My in laws gave me a bottle of this and I wondered if it was a sign they didn't like me. However, I discovered that unlike a lot of budget liquor with a budget price, it won't give you the hangover from hell. Actually, it treats you pretty well in that context. As a result, it's my go to when I come home and I've had a bad/frustrating day. The terrible taste keeps me from drinking too much and its basic level of quality means it won't give me a hangover. View it as medication/anesthesia. This for my bad days. I save the Don Julio and Fortaleza for my good days. ”

“Probably my favorite tequila experience (and make no mistake, any time you drink this the occasion becomes an experience). You'll be hard pressed to find a better anejo. It goes well with just about any food. Too bad it's priced such that it's only for special occasions. ”
