Sierra Antiguo Añejo
“Positively Surprised. The extensive aging smoothes out all the nasty flavours ususally present in sierra, but it also kills the agave and subtle notes. Smell is pleasant, wood, caramel, toffee, toast. The taste is a little underwhelming given the nose, but it's fine. Toasted aromas, wood, sweet fruit, cooked agave. There is a little bit of an alcohol burn to it and the taste isn't very complex, but it definitely is not horrible stuff.”

“Why does everyone use this stuff, it's horrible! I'd rather drink vodka mixed with drain cleaner.”

El Jimador Blanco Tequila
“The cheapest 100% agava tequila available here, I bought it for my cocktail bar and it has fulfilled its job. The smell is boozy, pungent agave, with a little bit of a ketone/ester smell perhaps, an earthy note is in there too. The taste is of fruity agave with a little bit of earth and pepper on the finish. The smell is harsh and penetrant, the taste is harsh and agressive, there is this chemical fruity note again, not a fan personally. The aftertaste is a little unpleasant. While it's certainly better than all those drain cleaner mixto "tequilas" I strongly recommend spending a little bit more on for example Olmeca Altos or Espolon, they are much much better. I wouldn't drink this neat again, it worked in a paloma but I did not like the margarita. ”
