Tried small store samples of the B,R and A. Aroma: Herbal, earthy citrus. Not an integrated nose. Flavor: Herbal, medicinal. Not my cup of tea. Finish: Odd finish.

Mexican 38% abv. tall bottle version, lote: LTTH20423, marbete is from 2018 but doesn’t contain info, tasted on 4-29-24. Aroma: light raw agave, light green vegetal notes, hint of mint, alcohol sensation is medium to medium high, light acidity. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, alcohol sensation is also medium to medium high on the palate, ends a tad bitter. Finish is medium to medium long, light raw agave, light acidity with a hint of bitterness persists.

El Fogonero’s blanco is a reasonably priced tequila that is not only hi quality, but also extremely smooth for a blanco. I’m an anejo drinker and seldom enjoy blancos but this was a refreshing change of pace. Nice agave on the nose, hint of honey and very fruit forward. Finish is very smooth......Overall a great blanco!!!

Hmm....took me awhile to put this review together. El Fogonero has decent legs, good mouthfeel, a little green and vegetal for my personal taste. Not quite enough cooked agave up front for me, but given what we have access to here in Ontario, this gets extra marks for not being mixto OR diffuser produced..... Not bad, and an exceptional value at the price offered here. ..... Solid, if average, blanco tequila.....
