Nice spice and oak notes along with initial sweetness and some hint of bitterness on the finish. Thanks MB
I read several reviews that said the bouquet had "a nice aroma of cooked agave, light fruit (banana), vanilla and light spice". I agree and also a notable burning from alcohol. also, the taste had "a great entry of agave, vanilla, hazelnuts and light oak". Overall, a good to very good Reposado. Would have rated it higher except for the astringent edge and harshness from high alcohol levels.
This is a smooth, very good reposado! It’s actually better than a lot of anejo’s too. Great to sip over ice on a hot day
Several years ago I attended an event in L.A. hosted by Hector Barreto, founder of Tributo a mi Padre in honor of his father’s legacy. The tequila was available to attendees for tasting. It was an enjoyable reposado with sweet agave, oak and bitter spices, very enjoyable. As a tequila lover it was a surprising treat for me, at an event not related to tequila.
