“I read several reviews that said the bouquet had "a nice aroma of cooked agave, light fruit (banana), vanilla and light spice". I agree and also a notable burning from alcohol. also, the taste had "a great entry of agave, vanilla, hazelnuts and light oak". Overall, a good to very good Reposado. Would have rated it higher except for the astringent edge and harshness from high alcohol levels.”

“My first encounter with El Mayor was in a Cognac glass. I'm a Cognac fan and a friend tricked me into trying it as Cognac. When I discovered that it was Tequila I was surprised. Sweet vanilla and oak on the nose. Delicate baked Agave flavor and hint of caramel on the mid-palate. Complex, tasty, smooth and long finish. This is very good sipping Tequila.”
