Nose: Carmel, oak, cinnamon, and some vanilla. Flavor: earth, carmel, vanilla, agave sweetness, and spice with some heat. Finish: short, oak, and spice.
Very similar to the blanco, but with more vanilla and a touch of caramel. Still has a bitterness in the finish.
L 210823DFR004, acquired September 2023, tasted 9-30-23. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: slightly sweet cooked agave, light aromatic herbs, minty, a touch of vanilla. It is aromatic, but subtle. Earthy. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, light resinous sweetness. Ends slightly bitter. Finish is short to medium, light sweet cooked agave with earthy notes persist.
Good nose, good palate on front end but finish has more of ABV tingling than spices tingling.
Good brand and repo, very agave, earthy. vegetal foward with some barrel influence but solid brand from the family of the OG Cazadores family.
