NOM 1507 Interesting profile. I enjoyed it a few years ago. Short finish, but still enjoyed it. Not sure what to make of it as I still get some agave, but its strangely sweet. Oh well, fuck it. In all transparency, it worked for me this time around.

Stumbled onto this distillery after leaving Fortaleza. So I wasn’t expecting much. This is a place that the crazy tequila busses drop off loads of people. Our guide said it is one of the oldest distilleries in tequila. Only available in MX. The reposado was not good. Aroma and taste were so so at best. The finish was terrible—the kind of finish that gives tequila a bad name.

NOM1507, Mexican 38% abv. versión, lote: 130, bottled on 26-08-2022, oval shaped bottle, tasted on 6-2-24. Color: very light yellow. Aromas: light sweet cooked agave, light aromatic green vegetal notes, hint of resinous sweetness, hint of earthiness, hint of pepper spiciness, light citrus, light bodied but aromatic. Hint of fruitiness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, feels just a tad hot from alcohol, but it balances out, hint of dirt aroma through my retronasal. Finish is medium, hint of sweet cooked agave, hint of aromatic green vegetal notes with hint of citrus notes persist.
