Can smell and taste caramel and vanilla but it seems to have a strong alcohol taste

Southbound recently came to Total Wines in NJ, and the manager recommended it to me. I tried the Anejo, and it blew me away - silky smooth, with a beautiful finish! I had it straight up as well. Just saw that Forbes named the Anejo as “Best in the World” ….. and I agree.

Restaurant tasting. Nice nose, caramel and vanilla sweet in the palate. Finish is a bit astringent but not awful. Not bad overall.

This expression might be the best of the bunch. You pick up right away the barrel spices and aging. It comes through strong in the taste and after taste too. If you want a tequila that tastes and finishes like a whiskey, this is a great bottle to grab.
