Good but prefer the Blanco

Great pour! Aroma is great, vanilla, butter scotch, orange cream, roasted sweet potato Excellent flavors of oak spice, cinnamon, roasted agave Great mouth feel, still very silky with a little warmth from the oak barrel. Finish is nice, not as long and layered as the blanco so dropped a point for that.

Lágrimas del Valle reposado - 2025 La Mesa del Charco, 46% abv., LOTE 700 bottled on 020326 tasted on 5-12-26. Color: light yellow to yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave, light citrus, light acidity, hint of green vegetal notes, hint of white pepper spiciness, hint of fruitiness. After 20 minutes in the glass the cooked agave note gets slightly sweet. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet & sour balance, sweeter on the palate. Hint of earthiness. Finish is medium to long, light sweet cooked agave with fruity notes persist.
