Reminds me of Juan Lobo, also from 1414. Oak, smoke, some barrel notes of toasted oak. Less ethanol spike on the finish. Thanks tequila.diva for the sample

Medicinal nose on the sample pour from a mini tulip glass. Good initial sweetness with nice oily viscosity. An unremarkable finish holds this back. Finish consists of some sharp ethanol notes and mild bitterness. Thanks to tequila.diva for provoviding the sample.

Los Linderos Tequila is another good brand coming out of the Vivanco Distillery! NOM 1414 - Master Distiller Sergio Cruz Pretty Bottles with good juice! Repo 40 ABV Agaves: 8 y.o. from Los Altos Cooking: stone/brick ovens Crushing: roller mill Fermentation: open-air, stainless steel tanks, champagne yeast with the Mozart method Distillation: 2x in copper pots Water Source: deep well Additive-free Aged 9 months in used American oak barrels and finished in French oak. Additive-free $65  700 ml Vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, barrel spices. On the nose, I didn't get much oak or whiskey. I got a little on the palate with a slight dryness that faded off quickly. the longer it opened, the dryness subsided https://shop.loslinderostequila.com/ Bottles purchased at @thecellarmx - san jose del cabo, Mexico
