Tasting tequila at the Arette tasting room! Wonderful aroma with plenty of agave and very sweet barrel notes. Some dark cherry and good wood. The taste is good as well. Plenty of barrel and some good agave still. The finish is in line with taste and medium long. And overall good añejo Tequila.
Anise, bubble gum, cloves, barrel spices vanilla and caramel. Sweet on the palate, banana, raisin, agave, barrel spices, anise. Very nice. Good viscosity and finish
Sampled at Starved Rock Tequila Fest. Yummy.
Had this at El Beso Cantino in tequila!! Very good

Largely dependent on U.S. bars and restaurants, Mexico’s craft distilleries are in trouble, and trying to find new ways to connect with consumers.
Lou loves to talk about the 10-year Arette Gran Clase Extra Añejo, 110 proof tequila.
Instead of sampling tequila in its birthplace, I reached out to six of the top tequila experts in Mexico to unearth their favorites.
This is a special extra Anejo! We are tasting it at the tasting room in Tequila! I still think I prefer the Anejo suave over this extra. But that’s just me. For the aroma, I get more dark cherry fruit flavors, and a lot of sweetness. The taste is good, but doesn’t knock my socks off. The finish is excellent! It’s definitely a Tequila that you sit with and sip slowly. This is very enjoyable. Except it loses points for value.
