“This was better than I expected. The notes are of oak, honey and butterscotch. It has a sweet flavor of oak and butterscotch with a descent finish. There is still a small rasp to it, but finishes fairly smoothly.”

“It smells of oak, vanilla butterscotch and alcohol. The taste is good, oaky with hints of vanilla and caramel. There’s a bit of a rasp/alcohol finish, but it’s not overpowering and finishes fairly smoothly.”

“The nose is very good, sweet, caramel and vanilla notes. The taste is more subtle than the anejo version, but smoother in finish overall. A very interesting trade off.”

“The smell is strong oak and a bit of alcohol. The taste matches the nose, strong oak flavor and has a bit of a harsh rasp. Not smooth enough for its price point in my opinion. ”

“The nose is descent, sweet. The taste is pretty good, with hints of vanilla, butterscotch and oak. The rasp is more pronounced than I prefer. I expected it to be smoother. ”

“The smell was sweet and wonderful. However, the taste was mostly alcohol with a harsh rasp. Not sure if I got a bad bottle or what. The legs on it where very fast, which is not typical of this version of Asombroso. The Gran Reserva is better at 1/4 the price. ”

“Definitely not as good as Avion 44, which is currently cheaper around me. It lost some of the flavor 44 has and has more of a rasp, which makes it not as smooth as 44 either. Not a terrible tequila, just another example of jumping on the crystalino bandwagon. ”

“This is a sweet tequila, with hints of caramel and vanilla. I have a significant sweet tooth, so I’m a large fan. Not as sweet as Adictivo (same distillery), just a notch down from it, but sweeter than Clase Azul’s Reposado. Excellent, smooth finish. ”

“I’m not a Patron fan, but this is a great tequila. Excellent aroma and a beautiful finish. Very smooth all the way around. The only down side is the cost, it’s about triple it’s true worth. ”

“I find the rasp on this to harsh, the alcohol came through just a bit too much. I’d rather drink 70 or regular DJ anejo which both cost way less.”

“I love this very sweet, exceptionally smooth tequila. However, I’m not sure I can tell the difference between this and Adictivo’s normal extra anejo, and I’ve put them against each other.”

“I’m slightly biased, I love Adictivo’s extra anejo to start. The crystalino’s filter process removed a bit of the caramel flavor, but it is still very sweet with an exceptionally smooth finish. Diehard tequila fans will most likely not like the sweet taste, but it totally agrees with my sweet tooth.”

“This is probably one of the sweetest tequilas I have tasted, but it matches my sweet tooth perfectly. Caramel, Vanilla and toffee notes come through in a very smooth finish. ”

“The first thing I noticed was the alcohol scent, which carries over onto the flavor and finish. It’s still decently smooth, but the alcohol presence is a touch too strong for my taste. There is a nice agave flavor and notes of caramel and oak. For $37, it was more than worth a try and will make excellent drinks, but not a sipping choice.”

“This is a repasado that drinks like an Añejo. It has a beautiful aroma with hints of toffee and vanilla. I can just sit and smell the glass when I’m finished. The taste is sweeter than most with notes of caramel, vanilla, and toffee, which is probably why most experts rate it lower. It has an extremely smooth finish. This is my current favorite sipping tequila by far.”

“I greatly enjoy Suprema, but it’s not a value buy. There are similar and better tequilas for $200 less. That said, it’s aroma and taste both have hints of sweet caramel and toffee. It is smooth, but there are smoother at lower price points.”

“44 is one of my favorites. The aroma is excellent, I could smell the glass all night. The taste is smooth and sweet with hints of caramel, toffee and vanilla. It is one of my staples and is always on hand. I’ve tasted it next to several more expensive bottles and it is always better.”

“It has a ver sweet aroma. It has a very strong flavor palate compared to most tequilas. Hints of butterscotch, toffee and spice. Smooth finish. I will keep it on hand.”
