this is from a tasting in 2015. pretty bottle but it's not great. alcohol presence, caramel oak

Not agave forward. Has a ton of oak and butterscotch. Reminds me of maple syrup

This really profiles like bourbon, minus the spice. Really not a lot of agave to be found, but it’s pleasant in its own right.

flan and Worthers candies with some agave sneakingin - lots of alcohol similar to other expressions. Caramel and cooked agave. A little thin and surprisingly weak finish. Not bad, just unremarkable.

At Señor Tequila. Sweet agave, peppery, earth, wood flavor, honey. Palate : alcohol, oak, agave, honey. Finish is short with some heat . $24 neat is on the expensive side therefore lower score

Gentle nose. Some cooked agave, pineapple, gardenia aromas. Thin bodied, slightly oily, mild honey-flavored sweetness at first developing into a a mild bitterness and a comfortable burn. Medium long finish with little complexity. Slight bitterness at the end. Way too pricey for what it delivers.

Older first issue bottle from 2010/11. Oak and caramel on the palate, this añejo resembles several other 1472 products mainly the Dos Manos 100% products. Fairly simple profile.

Great bottle; but my advice is not to open it. This may have been a defective bottle. Heavy alcohol nose and flavor and quite bitter.

I'm not sure what happens to this tequila going from a repo to an a?ejo. It changes completely as if it is a different tequila

nom nom; not much flavor

This was part of a mini three bottle sample set. Of the three this was decidedly the most offensive: I could smell and taste the artificial sweetener and it left a bitter astringent aftertaste. Coupled with the objectionable additive smoke and oak flavors, rendered it undrinkable.

Smooth agave with a hint of oak. Clean finish that doesn’t linger as long as I would like

Black liquorice, alcohol forward, caramel, coffee

very sharp alcohol with a nutty near musty back end. Hints of caramel and wood. If there is such a class as dessert tequila I would put this one at head of the class

strong finish pepper ethanol

Interesting flavor for an anejo. Plain flavor profile with strong alcohol notes. Very good hang time under the gums. Has lot of potential but just doesn’t do anything. Scent is plain, almost water after the first sip. Exciting bottle, lackluster contents.

Sweet, plain
